The best all-around microphone is the Shure SM58 and will do the job just fine recording an accoustic piano but can be used for many other things. You can pick 2 up for way less than $500 brand new unless you want wireless.

Crown PZM mics are good. I use a Groove tube mic. There are a lot of good mics that are condensers that do the job nicely. A used pair of AKG 447 mics are perfect.
