If your computer has bluetooth, you should be able to check the control panel .. there should be a bluetooth icon there if you have it.
(i just remember seeing it on my sony... )

in the control panel it should say something like
wireless internet
go to
start settings
control panel
and there should be an icon for wireless internet
also your laptop automatically detects new hardware.

You need in addition the model of the thinkpad you have (for example x60, T20, T30, R50, etc...). It is written normally upon your keyboard . Then enter the site of IBM and search there for your model.

right click on my computer, then click on properties, then go to hardware, then go to the device manager to see a list of all of the hard ware on your system.

If you go to your start menu and click "search" then select "all files and folders" then type "blue tooth" in the search box. You should, then, find out if you have blue tooth or not. I hope this answers your question. GOOD LUCK!!!
