My father recently read an interesting piece about a battle from World War II, but lost it before I had a chance to see it. It was about a small group of Canadians who had captured an enemy fort, but were quickly surronded by Japense soldiers. The Japense thought they had an easy victory, but the Canadians wouldn't surrender, and fought for 10 days, even after they ran out of bullets. Rocks and mud met the Japense as they entered the fort and captured the Canadians. Does anyone know when and where said battle took place?
