I know for a fact the accident was covered in the paper. It was a big accident involving the fatality of an old friend. How else can I obtain this article from 3 years ago? It involved him crashing into a dump truck so I googled that to no avail. I even know what road it was on but nothing turns up.

Also recommend visiting the local library ,or largest regional library in area of accident, to review records kept on in-house e-files or old fashion micro-fic.

I would say go to a local newspaper website (or maybe the biggest one to local) I'm pretty sure they'd have it there. I know you're looking for the newspaper article so this wouldn't be the same but it's probably the best you could do. Orrr, you can go to your local library. Libraries always keep record of papers especially in your town!
