Remember, you ARE talking about actors; good for dramatic flares, but not the best source for fidelity.
Given that, I would rather they didn't leave, because I would prefer that they vote this november. Doesn't it make more sense to contribute to the health of your country, particularly when it seems so ill?
Still, it was a rather stupid thing to have said in the first place.

They didn't renounce their citizenship because they know they are part of the best country in the world, whether they support the President tor not. Celebrities seem to think they can control the public and their statements were a feeble attempt at swaying the vote. I mean, if President Bush is SOO bad that Alec Baldwin would rather not be American, it couldn't possibly be a smart vote, could it? If Matt Damon doesn't approve, I must be stupid, right?
Yeah, whatever...idiots.
As for laws deporting them? No way. It's part of their right as Americans to say things like that...no matter how ridiculous they are.

People these days have an attention span of a peanut. ESPECIALLY when it comes to politics. Who even remembers how ugly it was for the Dixie Chicks when they actively spoke out against the President? Chances are, not many.
The point is, many celebrities think that they know more than we do, and it's they're lot in life to inform us. If you read the newspapers, you know as much as they do. No movie star is going to tell me how to vote, or what shampoo to use. As for Mr Baldwin, he could leave and no one would care. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

That is why actors/actresses should just shut up and act or warble (in the case of the Dixie Chicks). Have you ever seen the education levels of some of the loudest among them? Example: Barbra Streisand dropped out of high school, yet we are suppose to listen to her political views? Alec Baldwin is just an idiot. His brothers have grown up and seen the light, but he's mentally stuck back at 20 years old.

Hello,
Why? Because they know where their gravy train is. Plain and simple. They know America is the best nation going and they could not make the money they are making here, over there, wherever there would be.
Plus, they were just getting on their soapboxes spouting off what 'their people' were writing for them.
Hope this helps you... :-)

No "boo hiss" from me. I would guess that they're just waiting for Bush to be impeached first, to be removed from office, and then to be tried for crimes against the Constitution and against the American people, in other words, TREASON. Then he will be shipped off to the International Court of Justice to be tried for WAR CRIMES and CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!
Got it?

I don't know who said it and I dont much care but did you ever hear of freedom of speach? So what how many politicians have lied? Get over it, as the French say, "C'est la vie."

If people were all held responsible and force to complete their idiotic remarks more than half the population would be dead by now. "I'll just kill myself if I don't..."
It is simple hyperbole nothing more. Stupid remarks to incite reaction.

hahah I still laugh at the celebs who said-
'I'm going to leave if he gets elected.' Once he did they said-
'wait I make money here and people love me so I'll stay.'
