Not at all. I went through a very tiring relationship that was just so time consuming. I had to constantly worry about what he wanted to do. Where we were gonna go, what we were gonna do. So on and so on. I was like YIKES! No time to do what I want to do by myself because it made him feel bad I didn't want to spend time with him. I don't know how old you are but most girls tend to be "silly" (wanting a boyfriend all the time just to have one to wait on them hand and foot and admire them and hang on their every word, hence the long telephone conversations) When they get about 18 or 19 some of them grow up. College hits them but most are still "silly". If you don't like any particular girl, then just wait. If a girl likes you and asks you out, don't. She either likes the way you look, or thinks you'd make her look popular. She doesn't like you and will not respect you. 99% of the time. If you plan on getting married i'd wait till about Junior year of college. Then you can start looking. But don't get desperate. You have to filter really well. Because girls that aren't married by then are desperate to get married and you end up marrying the wrong girl because you are both desperate and think you are in love. This ends in divorce. 99% of the time. Just relax. Enjoy life with your friends. You'll meet the right girl when its time. If you want to get married. Later.

I don't think that is bad at all. Sometimes when you are not tied down with other folks, you can see your life a little clearer. You are able to focus on you and your goals and anything else that you want to do. This can be hard in a relationship because a person has to (or should) be thinking of their partner and their wants and needs. If you feel that this is the break that you need, then by all means trust your judgment!

No, it's not bad. I've done this many times, and it feels great! All you're doing is giving yourself an emotional, mental, and sometimes even a physical break. There isn't any law that states you "have" to have someone in your life romantically at all times! I love my quite time. I am married, and I still insist on my alone time, and give him his space also. If he didn't respect that, I would never have married him. Don't ever feel bad about a breather from the oposite sex, okay? That's why we're called, individualls.

No...it's not bad or unusual. If you like your freedom, then enjoy it and live life the way you want to. There isn't a law that says you have to tie yourself down. Get out there and have fun, travel, concentrate on your career. Don't be foolish and get wrapped up in a relationship because other people say you should have someone. That's silly....just be YOU, kiddo, and take whatever freedom you have and run with it.

Being single can be a good thing for a while but humans are a social animal so after a certain period of being lonely and peaceful, one has to find someone to keep company even if all you hear are noises.

No it's not bad to take a break. That way you get to do what you want and not deal with drama. I did this for a while and found out some things about myself and some new interests. Kudos!
