I am a 21 year old virgin who has a serious problem. I have vaginal discharge for the past 3 years (enough that i have to wear a pad and change it usually two or three times a day). I have been to many doctors and to a gyno and they can't figure out the solution to the problem. One doctor even told me it's normal, which it can't be. I sometimes feel like a child because i get a rash around my vagina (like diaper rash) and have to use a cream. Any one with any ideas or helpful hints please reply!! Thankyou!!

I would seek another doctor's opinion. Also, try a powder instead of a cream for the rash. Perhaps the powder Desitin might work.

Well some women have increased discharge like that and most just get like that prior to getting their menstuel cycle. I am assuming the rash is from all the moisture from the discharge. I know that this is easier said then done, but try to keep it as dry as you can there. When you get the rash ...the cheapest is vaseline and the most expensive is desitan to use . It helps keep away the moisture. If your physician sees no problem in this i wouldn't be too concerned.Perhaps you are having so much discharge to because you are anticipating sex or thinking a bit about it. Either way, i am sure it will subside once you are active. This is a good thing for when you do get sexually actuve because you'll always be ready. Have some patience and be glad this is the least of your problems.

First off you need to get rid of the pad. It causes the rash. It is a heat rash from the pad. I learned that the hard way when I was preganet I had a lot of discharge and wore a pad and I got a itchy heat rash from it. Second of all it is normal for women to have some kind of discharge, but if you are wearing a pad this could be making it worst and causing you even more problems like infections. Does the discharge have a funny color or odor to it?

Dude! You seriously have to go see a better educated gyno or doctor with real knowledge. It's akward how they don't know. If the discharge is clear, white, it's perfectly normal. If it has a cheesy, yellow color, you probably have some disease. Sorry to say, but it's the truth. I've learned about some of it in health. Like yeast infection or gonorrhea. You can always search the search engines for discharge or ask someone online--go to teenwire.com and ask a question.

You can check out most serious issues such as these at www.WebMD.com . Some areas, depending on where live are limited to the tests they can do. For a OBGY to say he/she doesn't know is just plain dumb. You need to go see someone who knows a the functions of our bodies.
Do you use tampons or pads? The bacteria caught in the tampon during a cycle is very harmful to your body and can cause discharge of this nature. I would seek to have a series of tests run regarding harmful bacteria. Have you had a doppler done on your ovaries? This could be a sign of something more serious. Good Luck!

If it's clear it's normal vaginal mucus. Some women produce more than others. Some women have the opposite problem and have to lubricate themselves every day, and not just for sex. One of my ex gf's produced a lot of mucus all the time and especially when she was horny and around the time she was ovulating. I thought it was great! You may just be at a very fertile and very horny time in your life. I'm guessing you want to stay a virgin, but if not, you could try having sex and see what kind of effect that has? Just an idea.

I would seek another Doctors oppinion, and always follow-up with duplicate testing if your not satisfied with the results. If it's clear without odor it should not be anything to worry about but you still can ask your doctor about ways to minimize it. With odor, color, etc may indicate an infection, but still don't get too anxious!

I would go to a diagnostic hospital like Johns Hopkins and get some definite answers. They will run a series of tests and determine what the problem is. Ask your Dr. to refer you.

Pack the panties with sawdust, or maybe cedar chips. That will give you the absorption you need, and the freshness he deserves. (I should write commercials)
