Rockstar is comming out with a new game, Bully, but bullying is a real fact that most children go through everyday. And this game might spark the imaginations of some kids to add to the problem. What do you think? Will kids know that Bully is a game? Can they find it amusing and keep it in stride? Or do they learn that bullying is acceptable, fun, and even cool behavior? Would you let your teens and children play Bully?

(Next time, ask a question you came up with yourself, not from an article.)

I think most teenagers shouldn't even be allowed to play any video games. They rot brains, I swear, unless the kid happens to be intelligent enough to withstand the draw. Still, video games as a whole are poisonous. But I don't see what Bully in particular does wrong that others don't.

I have played Bully and am almost done with it. Whether or not a child could play the game and become more violent is beside the point. It is innappropriate for children for many reasons.
1. One mission in the game has you take naked pictures of the head cheerleader
2. Another mission has you watch the gym teacher come out of an adult bookstore and then collect girl's undergarments.
3. Yet another mission has a video before it of a boy looking at a magazine akin to Playboy.

It is a fantastic game, but is not apprpriate for children. Teenagers on the other hand would likely enjoy the game and find it a fun way to spend their time.

Video games do not contribute to violence that some teenagers may exhibit. Violence in schools is a result of social conditions which ostracize certain individuals, which lead them to commit acts of aggression. If any group is to blame for school violence, it is the parents, who raise the bullies to be the way they are. Sometimes it is no one's fault. Sometimes it is the natural condition of young adolescents, who by nature are animals who have not yet been inculcated into society and who do not yet completely abide by society's norms.

Regardless, the game 'Bully' should be allowed full and unrestricted freedom to be another product on the market. Basically, any restrictions would violate the much ignored first amendment. Everyone's argument against the game seems to be this:
"I don't like it. It should be banned"

Frankly, I am tired of people allowing their emotions and whims and their majoritative power to declare established laws null. Perhaps the game will lose in Florida, land of idiots. But if it ever goes to the U.S. Supreme Court, they will declare any restrictions unconstitutional.

I play once every six months or so and I don't believe video games are dangerous. Violent games do not make a kid angry though an angry kid will be drawn to them. Maybe they shouldn't play them and take action to passify themselves but self improvement is for adult. Bullies exist everywhere not just on the playground, they are a part of life that isn't going go away anymore than it will spread.

I would strangle the next person that says things like that about video games with my controllers cord but I use a wireless one...

Have you actually read the games storyline? Do you actually know what the game is about or are you simply reading a book by its cover? I mean seriously, that is why the ESRB rates games, TO WARN PARENTS! It is the parents responsibility to go through a game or movie before giving it or letting their kids play or watch it.

You fru-fru Christians make me crazy! Go to your "God" and ask him these questions or go to some anti-Harry-Potter rally and leave Yahoo! Answers to people that want to actually discuss something interesting.

And as the person stated before me:
"Bullies and people committing acts of violence towards others existed long before video games. "

Bullies are a functional part of the school yard societey. You need one troubled kid to beat the weird out of the other ones. It adds to unity and discourages the socially awkward from becoming flat out neurotic.

I doubt that the game will add to bullying. It at least won't add in any measurable way.

OMG! Will so-called adults ever learn? They see no harm and then are in shock when their own children are gunned down by their classmates at school. Is it me or are there just some REALLY, REALLY stupid people out there?
