When I was a child, my stepdad adopted my sisters and me. We rarely had contact with his side of the family, but since he has passed away and we have come together as a family, one of my sisters and one of his brothers (OUR UNCLE!) have decided to pursue a slightly closer relationship--they claim to be in love!!! Is the rest of the family crazy to be weirded out by this, or what? My sister and uncle claim that it's ok because they aren't blood related. Oh, yeah, did I mention the fact that my uncle is married to someone else, even though their relationship has been on the rocks since before this whole thing got started? Is this crazy, and wrong, or do you think it's ok since no blood relationship exists??

Ummm.... it's not wrong.... but it's pretty darn weird and embarrassing for the rest of the family.....

I'm sorry that this is happening... you'll just have to suck it up and deal with it... they have the right to be happy and do what they want but I can understand your family might have a hard time adjusting to this strange turn of events....

You might get teased by outsiders but thats the worst thing that will happen..... hopefully.

well if they are claiming that they are inlove then its ok, beside they are not related in blood but be sure the marriage of your uncle is already done in legal like having divorced legally. SO that no problem in the future if they wanna settle down.

I think it is very wrong, simply because of the fact that the uncle is still married.

In my opinon...doesn't matter if they are "blood related" or not. Two lines are being crossed....first off, he is married...doesn't matter if the marriage is on the rocks, he is STILL MARRIED! Secondly, they are still family. May not be the same blood running through their veins...BUT it is immorally incorrect
