A little humor to those of you who jumped on the bandwagon and were screaming "SWEEP!" You can get off now.

Real Tiger fans know St Louis is a good team, and they deserve to be here as much as Detroit does.

I've said The Tigers in 6. And I'm sticking to it.

I'm Georgie Porgie and I approved this question.

I'm just as shocked as you are. Not only did the Cardinals win but the stomped them in game one. I thought the Tigers would stomp either team the Mets or the Cardinals. Furthermore, how do the Mets lose game 7 at home? The Cardinals just got out of the fight of their lives and they are still smoking from the NLCS. The Tigers did sweep the Athletics but have had so much time off they may have gone a bit cold. I thought the Mets were going to win the NLCS. Even if the Cardinals get out of Detroit with a 1-1 split they steal home field advantage and the Cardinals stole one of the first two games in New York.

DETROIT—Friends and associates of the American League manager say that, even though Jim Leyland had never rooted for the Detroit Tigers prior to this season, he "suddenly began following the team" once they started winning in early April.

"In all the years I've known Jim, I don't think I have once heard him mention anything about the Tigers, but now that they're good again, he's walking around in a Tigers cap every day."

He's such a fair-weather guy—I specifically remember him being a huge Florida Marlins fan back when they won the World Series in '97.

Shows what I knew. I am one of those who jumped on the Tigers bandwagon and predicted sweep, hey the Chisox swept last year and the Red Sox two years ago, the Tigers seemed so well balanced, why not. I am still figuring on the Tigers, but this looks like it's going to go a while. I am holding off on eating crow just yet.

I have been on Answers all season and I so know you are not a bandwagon fan, just as I am not one for my Cubbies, yes I am a Cub fan and Damn proud!! I hope the Tigers take it all for 2 reasons 1. Pudge (yes I do remember 2003) 2. I really do not think my Cubbie heart could take the Cards winning the Series after the southside winning last year. :-) Hope the Tigers beat the cards just like my Red Sox did in 2004

If the Lakers lose the next day at homestead against the Raptors and this being their 4th loss in a row then all you will get is a few Lakers followers giving them an excuse and could be asserting that Kobe and the Lakers do no longer care with reference to the prevalent season yet in basic terms the playoffs.

Yeah, so much for perfection. Two young rookie pitchers. Something was bound to give.

I find it ironic that Detroit went from a rookie to a 41 year old in game two. Kenny has been hot lately so I bet he'll have better luck.

As a Texas fan, I am rooting for Pudge and Kenny.

6 games is a good prediction.

The second person to rely to this who said "Go The Tigers" is an idiot and most likely a bandwagon fan

St. Louis doesn't have a chance. Detroit's pitching is to strong. Don't forget that Detroit's starting pitcher tonight only had 80+ innings all year, the rest are very reliable.

Don't jump, fall or trip. Remember these guys get paied a gazillion dollars to play a game. It's the working public responsibility to keep a level head. If jumping from one team to another because one of them lost a game, then you have lost the meaning and joy of baseball.
