i went and stayed 30 day i saw the nile river i visited ciario and i really enjoyed myself the people, they was very kind.even though i got robbed,i lost my passport i still made it back to usa

I have just returned. Egypt is very beautiful and the people are beautiful too. They are embarassed about terrorism and go out of their way to make sure visitors are well protected. The food was the most pleniful and varied I have ever had. We went first to Luxor and stayed at a great hotel the Sonester at Luxor
Then to Cairo. A land of contrasts.Rich and very poor. Lots of begging. The Nile is amazing. Do your research from the Internet before you go. We used Guardian Travel, Va. Beach. Mohammed
and his mom were great.

Yes I have. I found Cairo filthy. The tour to the Giza Plateau was interesting though. The sweet water canal was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Unless you stick to your hotels and the well supervised guided tours (the museum was awesome) I'd say go elsewhere....

Well, what with me being related to Amenhotep and Tutankhamen....and other forms of Ramen...I have made the trip many times (as an armchair traveler). I liked it.
If you, yourself, ever go, make sure you get one of those money belts with the pouch in front (you actually wear it under your clothes). That way, those grubby little pick-pockets will never get a chance to get your money. Know what I mean?
P.S: Carry a purse with a wad of Monopoly Money, in it--along with a packet of exploding red (or blue) die, so the thief can have a "memento" to remind him that stealing your purse will "mark" him...at least for awhile.
