Stocks aren't complicated.. Invest 50000 in a large cap value mutual fund with a beta less than 1.0 and you should feel very safe with earning more than a 4 or 5 percent yield... I'd go with C shares because of the short term investment would negate A shares upfront costs and B front contingent deffered costs

Start by putting it in to an

Savings, it's currently a 5.05%
Recommended by Suzy Orman (i found it with out her but it's a name people know). i have one works just like a savings account because it is. It's tied to my local checking and I transfer money back and forth on line with a problem. Returns is about he same a CD with out all hassle. It beats a 5% return on a lot of mutual funds with out the fees even a low or no load fund, you don't have the brokerage fee.
While it sits there you can decide what to do with it.

First off give it to me! Second give it to a close friend of mine so he can give it to me! Lastly investing in real-estate buying a home no money down and doing minor some fix-ups to key places in the house especially a kitchen, can drastically raise the value of the home and then sell it! And then pass off the check to ME!!!

hi,
i could recommend you to invest in a freehold plot in London through our company in Singapore. But u need to stay 3 to 4 years until planning permission of the land is obtained. Then you sell the same plot to our company with the highest margin as per market value. Then you walk away with a min. 330% margin. For your investment, you get a freehold title from UK Land Dept. as a collateral, and secondly, you have EXIT strategy that we buy-back your plot after Planning Permission, and third, if you need your money before Planning Permission, you are free to sell your plot in open market after 12 months stay minimum. u can reach me at sgdeen@yahoo.com.sg if u want me to assist you more.

Depends on the risk that person is willing to assume. Personally, I'm not going to be the one to make suggestions. If someone's unwilling to do the basic research to decide what to do with such a sum, I'm not going to take any action that they'd blame me for later if they acted upon it.
