My friend, who's 12, has marks on his arms, and I live next door to him and I saw his mom push him against a wall and she kept slamming his head against the wall, he hits her to get her away, but his mom's boyfriend is like 210lbs and he holds him and his mom keeps pulling his hair, I know he's just trying to get away, and I hear him asking if he can walk to his grandma's house, and his mom just grabs his hair and hits his head against the wall, what should I do, is there a place in Utah that deals with Child abuse? Please help, I don't like seeing this, it happens like once a week. (sorry if its the wrong category)

Contact CPA, now, don't question whether or not its bad to be a "tattle tale" blah blah.....Just do it.
If you're 12 as well tell a counselor at school. You could tell your parent, but some parents might have the "its their business not mine" attitude, and some might not believe you, blah blah, but school counselors generally feel obligated to contact the right authorities.

Well what i would do would be probably go and slap the person abusing the child. But i guess thats not the proper way to approach to this problem. i dont know how old you are if you are old enough you can go and talk to the lady when shes alone or you can take your mom or dad or your elder sibling. well i'm not in utah but i'm an indian so im sorry i dont know any place that deals with child abuse. but if the lady does not agree with you you can contact the police.

Take pictures and go to the police. They will send an investigator to the house from children services to determine whether or not the kid is being abused. I went through this personally. My ex was leaving bruises on my 2 yr old daughter. i took her to the sheriff's dept. myself. If you just call children services there's only a 50/50 chance that they'll actually check it out. Trust me I've been there.

technically, when a parent is hurting a child isn't really child abuse,
but this seems serious. talk to your parents and call the police.
but don't call the police until u've talked to ur parents. get proof...somehow. i remember i used to take pictures and video of something wrong. your should too. her boyfriend is another story: CALL THE POLICE!!!!
and if none of the above works,
tell your friend to get away from his mom and her boyfriend.
have him go over to your house,or go to his grandma's.

Yup, the next time that happens make an anonymous call to the Police, give the location, what is happening in detail. They should be able to handle it from there.

Gosh I hate to hear these things. You are a great and compassionate friend. Please tell your parents to call the police right away. But be aware that your parents might not want to 'get involved.' If this is the case, please feel comfortable and have the courage to call them yourself. This is a good thing you are doing, even if it seems like it will tear everything apart. Your friend shouldn't have to live like this.
Thank goodness for friends like you...good luck!

You should call social services. Tell them that you fear that a child next door is being abused. His mother does not deserve him. He shouldn't have to be beaten. Step in before something serious happens. If it last long enough for you to call the cops then do that. Please step in soon.

get evidence and call child protective services and the police. you can also inform the local school that the child attends. In alot of cases the school can and will take action. I would get pictures of the wounds and the actions as you see them and take them to the local police

I think the first step is to call the Police. They can deal with any abuse. Either call 911 to report it, or your local police department.
Good luck!

You need to report this right away, either the police or a school teacher, principal, guidance counselor, anyone you trust. He needs to be in a safer place then where he is right now.
