I need help with lowering my child support. I live in Texas and just recieved paper work for a child support review. This can only mean that they are going to try to raise it again!!!! Does any one have any tips on how to help me out. I take excellent care of my child and do not believe the system is fair.

In the first place in Texas every 3 to 5 years a review is done,if your income hasn't changed then it will not be raised you must bring all of your pay stubs for the last 6 to 12 Months or a copy of your Tax return also you may want to consult with an attorney because they will not take all of your money nor leave you in the poor house a review only means the support may or may not be modified it really depends on your income if it has increased significantly you probably will have your childsupport order raised and remember you will have a chance to speak to the judge at the hearing as well I wish you well also if it is determined that the support should be raised if you and the mother can come to a fair amount then that 's even better I wish you well just make sure you are keeping up with your payments other wise you are screwed and yes I agree the Ags office in Tx can be a bit unfair.KEEP UP WITH ALL RECIEPTS even if the payments are coming directly out of your checks KEEP UP WITH ALL PAY CHECK STUBS.

I did the whole pay as you go program in Mass. I don't know what Texas is like but I can tell you that if you pay goes up they the whole thing changes. I mass it's 331/3% of your net and whatever else they can bleed out of you. The trick to child support is to not pay it right off in the beginning. Ya sounds harsh but bucking the system from the get go gets all the crap out of the way. You may got to jail for a bit but once you exhaust the system then you can pull your X aside and swing a deal with her. The system isn't fair because hard working guys that want to support there kids but can't live with there mother get the shaft because of all the dead beat dads out there. I know a guy that went out and got a huge loan, flashed the money in front of the X and paid her off for life, the money he gave her was money he would lose anyway, but it's easier to pay off the bank then it is having to go through the court system every time she wants a new car or more money for doing what she wants. Remember she's your baby sitter taking care of your kids while you work. Or get some good friends together and a good lawyer and have her declared unfit and move for custody or try for custody yourself cuz no matter what it will be cheaper in the long run. But if your income meets the system criteria you got no choice.

child support can only be raised or lowered based on income. so if u want to lower your childsupport then lower ur income. but why would u want to deprive your children. i mean u fathered them. i'm a divorced man and paid my child support till my son was 18 and from the age 13-18 he lived with me, but i owed back support so i continued to pay. Just pay ur support no matter what and ur children will love and respect u for it

I feel for you but people need to remember that this is about the child. Prices are high and our children's needs are expensive. I'm going thru this right now. If my ex came on here, I'm sure he'd get a pity party. Now in your case, I can't say anything, I don't know your business. But in my case, my ex has paid the lowest amount ever (told by C.S. caseworker) I've NEVER increased his support in over ten years. Now, I am seeking to increase it - as my daughter will be 16 and her needs are ever so increasing. He is fighting me on the nitty gritty stuff. He's just mad b/c I'm taking his money.
So, like I said, I feel for you - but in my case its alittle different. I wish you well tho.

dint panic. i receive child support in Texas and know that it is a law that ever so often they send out such a letter to see if u can still pay what u are paying or if they need to take more.
