This can only be answered by speculation. No one currently living has seen their souls.
My guess is that it is nothing like the human form. The human body is like a seed for the soul. When we die, we are buried - just like a seed. The soul then leaves the body - just like a plant sprout.

It does not look like anything. It is like the wind. You can see the results of the wind, but not the wind itself. Your soul is that innermost part of you that causes you to experience feelings like compassion and love. Your soul doesn't need your body, but your body surely needs your soul.
