Sounds like your daughter is in a predicament. Usually there is a court hearing and then the party has 72 hours to move out before the Sheriff comes and locks her out. However tell your daughter not to wait to long because finding a new home with a eviction on your record can be more difficult. Also remember that laws differ from state to state. I live in MN but I have lived in other states and they pretty much are the same. You can check out web sites for Landlord tenant rights for your area

It really depends on where you live how long that person has to move. If they would have attempted to pay the rent or at least kept the money to pay the rent that would be good, cause what can happen, which can be good for your daughter is the Landlord may take them to court. Often times the judge will give an extension to the e thirty days. Also, if they are smart they can find ways to bring up a counter suit. I would and I would try like hell to win. Use anything, defamation of character, not fixing **** (slumlord) whatever. Fight dirty! Why not, he is. Good Luck.

Your daughter has two children. It will require a court of law to evict them. No one puts kids out on the street.

laws are different from state to state, in the state I live in, even with an eviction notice they cannot kick you out. they have to take you to court and a whole lot of other nonsence before they can force you out. Check with your local court house

I work for a small management company and so far is is good to go. Even if he gets sued, u need proof that he harrased her. All she can do is pack and move before it gets real ugly.... I can tell you some crazy stories about familys that end up homeless becuase they didnt leave on time

There should be something called the tenancy act that outlines tenants rights. Check with your local city hall. 30 days sounds about the normal

She needs to look in her lease,, it will tell her what her options are,, but not paying the rent will get you sometimes a 24 hour notice to vacate.
