Their storylines are so interchangeable and the writing is so bad it makes me sick! It always starts out with something scientific starting something wrong, them some military guy wants to take drastic actions that would actually cause the problem to worsen, and then another scientific guy figures out something then tries to convince the military guys to listen. Finally the day is saved by the science guy and everybody is happy. Blah, blah, blah...
Plus the writing is stupid and the jokes are like from the 80s. It makes me want to pull my hair out! Is it just me?

Yea, my mom likes it too. Sometimes, and i mean only when the stars align correctly, they do come out with something good or at least show something good; but most of the time it just plan sucks!

I am talking about their "Original SciFi Channel Movies" (that is what they call the braincell-killing movies they make, right?).

Some of the only movies that I can think of off the top of my head that I actually liked were "Cube" and "Cube 2: Hypercube."

I really don't think they get that many viewers, the commercials arent really from the mainstream consumer companies.

Their "original" stuff is really, REALLY bad.
Some of the stuff they rerun, like Firefly and Dead Like Me and Quantum Leap, is good.

Kinda curious which series you don't like.
Because they buy in many of those series from other places - like Dead like me from Showbiz (?) and Doctor Who from the BBC, etc.
So I think it's unlikely that there's any trend there - I can't actually think of a single series right now, that was created specifically for the Sci-Fi channel.

I love it because it is just SO BAD. "The Soup" on E Network makes fun of it just about every week. That Sasquatch movie was especially terrible, but somebody is watching it or it wouldn't be on.
