1)Highlight your parts.
2)Say your parts over and over and over...
3)Remember parts AROUND yours; it helps trust me!
4)Practice with someone you are uncomfortable with... they will make it like you are in front of all of those people.
~I don't believe there is a shortcut. Sorry!

For stage acting, what i have done in my past experiences is figure out the mood and objective of the play and your role. Once you know what you feel your character means during their stage time, try and memorize the basic idea and key sentences of your part. That way, if you don't have the role completely memorized, the key elements are still conveyed and you can make up the rest. Just envision that this is not a play, but real life, then react how you were destined to.

they have to remember their scripts but even the best actors cannot remember everything word for word.that is why they have coaches, dialect coaches and more. in the bloopers of a movie you see that even the best actors mess up, so yeah they remember some things but not the whole script: they have people helping them with that! remembering a conversation is thru repetion over and over and over and over again until you do not look at the script and say it like a natural conversation with emotion and feeling!best of luck!

In films they just memorize the small part that is being shot. The scenes are done in many shots so they only have to memorize a very small part of their lines.

A LOT of practice. They don't make the movie in one week or month like the highschool one act play does. They take one to two years on a movie. Good question!

...Have you ever been in a play? And it takes months to make a movie, they have plenty of time to memorize their lines. And they do not always remember their lines, ever seen an... out-take?
