It seems that ever since the II WW we felt obligated to fix up a country after we "broke" it. Why does the US think it necessary to stay in Iraq? isn't it smarter to invade, win, back out. Then if necessary do it again. Why should we even waste our time? When did this ridiculous process begin?

America is country that cannot stand to see a non democacy state. We feel obligated to change what ever we see differently. If the nation does not cooperate with whatever we want them to do we will bomb the **** out of them. this is what we did to Iraq and Afganistan. The main idea of these wars was to make the nations follow in our footsteps. If we leave Iraq now then we would feel guilty about not changing their government enough. We have to make sure everyone realizes we are the big boys running everything. And to whatt cadodevine said, We have to waste our tax money to help them cause we were their with our tax money to destroy thei country. We were there to bomb their asses. We were there with our taxes to kill innocent mothers, fathers, childrens ,un cles, aunts, etc. So we should obviously be there to help them .Do you understand cadodevine you stupid selfish asshole.

a million. we'd like a central authority on the tip that is extremely friendly to our hobbies. 2. did no longer (does not?) your mom make you freshen up your very own mess? in view that we've been given rid of the previous government, we've some criminal accountability to help the present one. You look thinking of this as our 4-year conflict, besides the indisputable fact that that is in basic terms a one-year-previous government. And that is not in any respect clean to me that US troops are doing extra harm than stable. extremely some each and every physique is thinking of it as a civil conflict, and if it is the case, then a US presence might desire to be a stabilizing rigidity. it variety of feels extremely some human beings choose to argue the two facets of the ingredient just to be against the administration's policies, yet that is too beautiful via 0.5.

When a country invades another and removes the government it is their responsibility to restore law and order and some for of government.

In the case of Iraq our efforts are being hampered by the insurgents from Iran and Syria. They have caused civil war within the classes and tribes in Iraq just so to make it harder on the forces that occupy iraq.

The problem when you invade a country is that you have to stay so that the country can rebuild itself, being an invading civilized country. But that takes time, and unless you want to totally annihilate the place (which would kinda get the UN mad), your kinda obligated to take those responsibilites in modern war.

Iraq has been very unstable. They have had bloody civil wars and revolutions for as long as anyone can remember. The idea is to setup Iraq into a stable country so that the people can live better lives and for the U.S. to have an ally in the middle east

Sorry, but I disagree. We should finish what we have started. Certain things need to be handled carefully and with great time behind it. If we withdraw too quickly, Iraq will most definitely fall into a long, drawn-out, bloody civil war. The violence we hear about now would only be a drop in the bucket in scale.

You are right mostly. As a soldier I know first hand. We went in, killed the terrorists and should have "won". Now all that's left is the two different tribes killing each other. It's civil war over here and both sides hate the U.S. we as soldiers just sit in between and get shot up. We need to go home and quit losing our American Warriors.

.. This is a hard decision, We never should have been in Iraq in the first place.. this is Bush's Blunder. However, the fact is.. yes, we did " break it" and now somehow we are obligated to help repair it. Point is tho.. are we causing more harm by staying or by going. Bush has gotten us into a terrible mess... and he is going to leave it to for someone else to correct... just as he has done all his life. This time Daddy can't fix it for him.

Thats what I thought. But when you think about it, I think they needed our help. If you saw a 6 year old little girl living by herself under a highway bridge in a box, you would help wouldnt you? ((you couldnt be a good person if you would just drive by that)) But in Iraq theres family's being murdered by sadam hussein and the armys and terroists and those little 6 year old girls are being killed and hurt in ways that are just wrong. Thats my opinon on why we need to help the people in Iraq out a bit.

Iraq needs to be a federated state like Bosnia.

Bosnia used to have big problems too but not anymore. There's hardly any foreign troops there anymore.
