ok i have this friend and she wont stop saying rude remarks to me, like for instance she keeeps caling me fat right, and she knows what i've been through. she's my so called me "bestfriend". last yr i suffered from a slight anerixia problem, and then again this year with bulimia, although she keeps making really rude remarks, and i think my litle "disorders" are becuase of her. i mean i'm honestly not fat. if you think a size 5 in jeans is fat, then w.e. but what do i do, do i drop her as friend? because i have confronted her and told her i didnt like what she was saying but she just laughed it off. i told her im won talk to her until she stops and she acted like it really didnt bother her. we've been friends since we were litle kids in diapers.. WHAT TO DOO?? please help!

Put some distance in the relationship. Don't totally cut her off, but put the ball in her court. When she disrespects you, put some distance there. Make her cross the divide to be friends. If she cares enough, she will eventually realize that she is losing a friend and figure it out, or she will countinue to distance herself. If she distances herself, then the problem is solved and you realized just how good of friends you really are. I've done this and found out alot about the people I called friends.

Well, what i would do is give her the silent treatment, and just ignore her. And pretend she isn't there. I did that to one of my greatest friends and at first he pretended like he didn't care, but soon he was really trying to get me to talk to em... And finally i started talking to him and he changed ever since. Or u can just quit being friends wit her until u know she changed for the best. And anyways, ppl that you've known for a long time usually stop being friendly to u for a while, but they'll try 2 be friendly again.

If a person can't respect a request you have made to them about remarks you don't like then you need to slowly separate yourself from her. This person is lowering your self-esteem and doesn't need to be in your company. My friends wouldn't do anything like that to me because they respect me as a friend. I'm what they called obese but don't look like it because I'm tall. I weigh 190lbs and I feel great about myself because I know I'm beautiful inside out. My fiance loves me for the person I am to him, for him. My Friends loves me because they know I would give the shirt off my back. In the end beauty and self-esteem is within. Therefore, the remarks shouldn't really bother you BUT because you don't like it then she shouldn't do it. Never! Isolate yourself from her but take you time unless she respects your demands. It's always easier to keep our old friends because we have to be careful about what we tell new friends for a while. Then again, you make your friends when you're young, not as adults, most times. Good luck with everything!

sounds like your 'friend' isn't really a friend. She sounds more like someone who just looking for someone to put down. Drop her as friend, not just because she makes fun of you and call you fat but because REAL FRIENDS care about the feelings of other friends. And are considerate to what they feel like. i think she laughed and acted like she didn't care to keep her cool. Even if you guys were friends since you were in diapers it doesn't mean you SHOULD BE friends forever.
Plus, if she tells you that she believes that she shouldn't have to feel SORRY for you for your disorder tell her it doesn't mean she shouldn't care and make fun of you about it. That's not what friends do, friends don't TRY to make each other feel bad about themself inside out.

obviously she isn't being a good friend. she probably has a self esteem problem so she tries to take it out on you so that she feels better about herself. there's always slight competitions amongst girlfriends. so if you already confronted her and she knows what you've been through, drop her as a friend. you don't need someone that negative in your life and friends shouldn't stress you out and it shouldn't be work. they should be there to support you and be a positive influence in your life.

With friends like that who needs enemies?? You should surround yourself with loving caring people,, forget the shallowness of a so called friend,, who tries to bring you down,, those are not friends!!!
