Well, to answer the question the way the asker apparently wants it answered I would have to be a Christian or of some other faith that believes it is the one and only true religion. I'm also curious as to what god having our lives destined has to do with there being other deities out there. Where did you get the idea that "God" create these other deities and religions. Look, if you are a Christian and you believe in God and do what you're suppose to do, I suppose you'll go to Heaven. That's what you believe, correct? The fact that there are other religions out that shouldn't have any impact on that if it's what you really believe. What rings true to an individual is that individuals issue, not yours or anybody elses. I'm not a Christian and I don't believe in the Christian idea of heaven or hell. Does that mean I'm going to hell? No. That means that Christians think I'm going to hell.

Yes God wants all his children to return to Heaven.God did not create other religions, other religions were created by man.God allows this to happen because he has given us free agency. He wants us to find our way back home. There is only one truth, and God will let us know what that is through prayer and studying the scriptures. He is a just and loving God and will not fault his children if we happen to get it wrong in this life.(As long as we are seeking after the things we believe He would have us to do) It is my belief that everyone will have the opportunity to accept or reject this "true gospel" either here in this life or in the spirit world before the final judgment( there are many who live upon the earth who do not have the opportunity while they are alive to hear of this gospel and accept or reject it, such as some of the tribes in the amazon. Or if you are Christian , The many people who lived before Christ. All these people will have this gospel taught to them in the hereafter still being able to accept or reject it. A loving father in heaven or God wants all his children home. I believe this is his plan for us.

God wants everyone to go to Heaven, but all cannot go to Heaven, all must be holy to go to Heaven. God cannot abide with sin. God did not create any religion, God did not create Christianity, man simply knew that he existed and followed him. God gave us all a will, God has a will, our will can never be as his. Our will has the sinful nature of man, and God doesn't control our will. He leaves free to serve him or the devil. Secondly, God created Buddha and Mohammad, and they grew up and decided not to follow him, they decided to later live on as one of the many manifestations of the devil in modern day society. The devil manifests himself in many things today, however, it is easy to tell the difference. See other than giving us a will, the Lord gave us a conscious, and a conscious is something that Mohamed avoided, come on people, he had anal sex with a 12 year old girl. Allah is a manifestation of the devil, all gods put before the true God of Israel are manifestations of the devil.

Of coarse he does. He bestowed free will upon us and in doing so we make choices. Who we will follow and what we will do to get there. We have the choice to follow the teaching of Jesus, Buddha, or Mohamed. We have to separate the lies and falsity from the deceit that other put before us. If someone put three bowls in front you and told you that two are deadly poison and only one will grant you life. This person also tells you that you may ask any questions about the bowls except which one will grant you life. You would ask every question and do all the research on them that could passably be done before making your choice. Then after carefully weighing your options and the answers that have been given to you then and only then would make a choice. I know that through Jesus and by following his teachings I will see him one day. I don’t know a lot about Buddha but I do know something’s about the Koran and I have chosen Jesus my lord and savior. I cannot really explain it but I know I am walking with him, I know that he holds me in times of grieve, and I know that I will met him after I leave this shell of a body. All I can say is that when I pray my body has a certain peace about it and I fell safe. In the end we must all make the decision for our selves.

Well, before you ask that question, you first have to remember that before Abraham, Mohammed, Buddha, or Jesus, there were Aphrodite and Zeus, Isis and Osirus, and countless other ancient gods and goddesses from religions spanning the globe -- all thousands of years before Judiasm,Christianity, or Islam. Why? Who knows? Most seem inclined to believe that God gave mankind free will -- so maybe a multitude of religious choices are simply an extension of that. Maybe God chose to reveal Himself in different ways, at different times, to different people, as their culture, perspective, and level of advancement would allow. Again, who knows? Does this somehow prove or disprove God by suggesting that there isn't a plan behind any of it? I personally don't think so, but I could see where someone of little or no faith might see this as contradictory. My suggestion is this: ask God. It'd certainly be one of my first questions if given the opportunity.

Why did God create Hitler? Why did God have his only son die on the cross? Religion is a word made for people who try to get to heaven on works. Please read John 3:16 and you will have your answers. Yes he wants everybody to go to heaven. But it is up to the individual to turn away from sin (mainly those defined by 10 commandments) and ask Jesus into your heart. Sin seperates us from God. Old Testiment times (moses..) they had to slaughter animals so that their sins would be covered and then they could approach God. This animal was a bull, goat, lamb...When the Israelites were taken captive 400bc this pretty much ended their ability to offer sacrifices. Prophecy (dan ch 9 rev..) told of a savior who would die once and for all (hebrews). With out the shedding of blood there is no remision of sins. When Christ died on the cross He was our sacrifice. So when you are standing at the pearly gate and Peter asks why he should let you in, you can answer b/c of What Christ did on the cross.

Well, you've been talking to some Calvinists then, eh? Not all Christians believe that God pre-destines histroy or that He sits up there playing with us like a chess board. Did God create Siddhartha Gupta (pardon me if I butchered the spelling)? Yes. Did God create Buddha? No, Gupta became the Buddha through meditations, etc. The teachings of the Buddha spread because men chose to believe in his teachings, not because God FORCED people to believe in the EIghtfold Path, the FOur Noble Truths, etc.
We do, however, note that Thomas the Apostle is sent by Jesus to preach in India, and that Mother Teresa converted many Hindus to Christianity through her service and compassion. However, in this case too, men CHOSE to convert, they were not FORCED.

There is a story in the bible, I can't quote it exactly but here goes... A very long time ago, many men were building a tower to reach the kingdom of heaven. Obviously, god wasn't very excited about this so he made different languages, religions and races. That way the humans would be divided into different religions and religions thus making it impossible to communicate and build a tower like that.

To answer the question God did not create other religions man did. God created man and woman and God created them to be able to choose right from wrong. God wants everyone to go to heaven but if a person chooses to do wrong then he chooses his own destiny. The Bible is the word of God. God choose the children of Israel to be His people and because of their rejection of Jesus Christ we gentiles were given the chance for salvation through the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible say in Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

God destines our lives, but God takes on the presence in many different forms, and people. This is necessary because there are so many different cultures and ethnic groups and they all need God's presence in the form of their own language, performing signs, miracles, and rituals that are familiar with those certain people, Because God decided to provide us a path to eternal life...aka nirvana, or whatever is to whatever culture you are from, he provides us divine men who provide salvation for us by giving us a set of beliefs, practices, and worship instructions. This comes in the form of Jesus to the Middle East, Mohammed later in the Middle East, Buddha to the East, and who knows? Maybe the Dolly Lama! The point is, God is a God who is not limited by anything, and gave every culture at every point in time a the path, or the way, to becoming enlightened or saved. This might not be in the form of the same person, but we are in fact all serving the same God.
