Right now, just go with your instincts. You'll only be able to tell, when a rough patch comes along... and believe me, they always do. If you two find yourselves unable to get past a fight or a difference, that's how you'll know that it wasn't love...
Also, examine why you really like this person...
Is it their looks? Personality?
What things do you have in common?
Do you have the same friends?
If you find yourself just attracted to their looks, or lacking common ground with them, it's most likely just lust... which can be good, too :-)
