Good question.
Eternity of life is a silly idea but most humans love that idea. The word eternity itself should give humans notice. It is a concept that was men made up ideas long ago.
The problem is people do believe in these religious ideas. The human mind would think and think and then say things like I can continue learning and reading anything when I go to heaven and live there for eternity.
Conclusion is if a human being cannot see the word eternity as being silly then I think something fishy is going on with the human mind. Something wrong for sure about human evolution of the brain. And the tragic part is they even imagined humans are made in the image of a God. How tragic this is? Insulting God? Assuming God is real.

Yes, when we get to heaven, it will be a happy place, joyful and walk straights of gold. What do we do there? I"ll tell you.
We worship the Lord Jesus Christ. We shall see Him as He really is. We shall receive new bodies that are immortal and incourruptible (we call this a glorified body) We shall be evaulated for our works for Christ (either being found faithful in some/or at not all, or unfaithful) and either be given a portion to rule with Christ or be saved indefinitely from the fires of Hell (Just placing trust in Jesus Christ). We will receive rest from our works on earth. We will await the day to return to earth and rule with Christ also during the 1000 years of His reign of peace. We shall inherit the earth forever, dwelling with the Lord for all time. Indeed, what a day of rejoicing it will be!! If you place your trust in Jesus, then heaven will be yours too. But first, take care of your sin by placing your trust in Him as Savior; for those who are unrighteous, fornicators, idolators, adulterers, liars, and the such will not inherit the kingdom of God. Christ died for you so that you can have a relationship with God. The only way to Heaven, is through the Son, the man Jesus Christ. If you believe on Him, you shall be saved.

I have been asking this question since I was in Kindergarten. I was brought up as a children of God and that I will go to heaven when I die but as I grow up I started to doubt about the things I have learned at Sunday school and the stories I read in the bible.
I believed that the "heaven" everyone believes is here on earth. I do not believed that there is another place for us to go like a magical place or a perfect paradise. I believed that when you die, your soul will stay around to where you are. You stay around where you lived and be around your love ones which ever you want.

There are material heavenly planets in the material world which are not eternal. They are full of oppulance and resemble the spiritual world but one only stays there for thousands of years to reap their good karma. So it is temporary they generally then fall back to the earth planet to get the opportunity to reach the Eternal spriitual world. In the eternal Heaven there are many different ways to serve God That is what we do there. Everyone is completely satisfied in whatever service they are doing. you have a spiritual body with no suffering and there are unlimited services to do. The material world is a perveted reflection of the spiritual world. Everything here is covered by veils of illusion. In the spiritual world there is only Love. There are many spiritual planets acording to your rasa or relationship with God and the Top most spiritual planet is called Go-Loka Vrindavan or Land of the cows. It is bigger that all of ther material and spiritual worlds put together. Gods favorite animals are cows and much of the service performed there are milking cows, making butter, and offering God also known a Krishna many different food offerings made from milk. Christ may still be in one of the material heavens helping souls prepare for the spiritual heaven. There is no envy, hate or killing, there so that takes a lot of preperation.

No one can say for sure what heaven is like. As a Christian, I believe that when I die, I will be at peace because Jesus will be there with me. He told one of the thieves who died on the cross next to Him that the thief would be with Jesus that day in Paradise because the thief believed in Jesus' divinity. But I don't spend all my time wondering about heaven - life is a gift to be enjoyed here on earth for as long as God allows it to continue. Time to God is different than it is to humans. We'll feel different in heaven because we won't be in the same physical bodies and state of mind there. Right now we should all focus on how to make earth a little more like heaven by treating each other better and helping those in need, don't you think? As the Lord's Prayer says, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Hope this helps.

Christians who believe in Jesus as Savior from sin and give their lives to him will live forever in heaven. We will rule and reign over the earth with Him for the first thousand years, afterward, we will have a totally awesome and exciting life on the new earth and in the new heavens God is creating. satan will not be around anymore so all will be perfectly peaceful, animals and all. No more sickness, pain, crying, but all joy beyond your imagination. Cant wait for Jesus to come take us there!

The Bible describes Heaven as a place with roads of gold, with walls filled with beatiful priceless jewels, and gates made entirely of pearl. However, we will never be able to fully comprehend Heaven till we get there. Once we're there, we will spend eternity honoring and glorifying God. That may sound "boring" but God is so indescribably amazing that you wouldn't be bored for a second.

The greater question is... is there a Hell. Jesus spoke about and alerted us four times more about Hell than he ever did about Heaven. So I see heaven isn't the great concern. But is there an eternal Hell and what puts a person there.God's gave us each commandments and requires perfect obedience to them.
God before Him
No Idol worship
Keep His day Holy
Don't take his name in Vain
Honor Father and Mother
Don't murder
Don't lie
Don't commit adultery
Don't Steal
Don't envy
The Law is there to show us that we are imperfect and can't meet God's perfect standard. thus God' gift to us in Jesus. he who knew no sin became sin for us that we might have eternal life in heaven and avoid hell by simply putting our trust in him. Not in religion but in a relationship with the living God.
Shalom:)

" For I will go and prepare a place for You"
" In my Father's house are many mansions.....: John 14:2
we should be more concerned on what hell will be like, so we will have no desire to go there.
John 16 for example.
There is no reason to think in terms of time when were are in heaven.
Where there will be no sickness, no crime, nothing bad. Only good. Just like Mercy Me sings " I can only Imagine" what it will be like when I stand by his side. I can only imagine when I find myself standing near his throne. Our minds cannot comprehend how beautiful heaven must be.. I think Hawaii is beautiful and it will be better than that. Praise God.

When we get to heaven, we will be serving Christ; just as we should be doing on earth. Also, all of our loved ones who are believers will be there with us; but without the problems we have in this life. There will be no more suffering, pain or tears! Dona G.
