you ignore the point that massive (and unessescary) military spending has led to a balooning deficit of about 7 trillion dollars, and 3 billion dollars of that is chump change, also because of this and the slowing american housing market you are indeed againg slipping into recession. which inturn is pulling my humble home into recession as well because of our close ties.

I applaud your sources but you forget several important facts. yes there have been no further terrorist attacks on american soil but what about that drunk yankee yahoo in manhatten the issue of terrorists is a whole different arguement in itself. Also this no child left behind still does not speak of the fact that half of american highschool children can't name your first president. and these tax cuts you speak of may yeild positive results indeed but most are unfourtanly for the very rich and give little hope to poverty in your country. But nice try.

Positive! Nothing!

Negative: 3,029 killed in Iraq which is an illegal war!

Set up secret cia camps to torture people outside the US, in countries like Poland, against world law, in some cases kiddnaping citizens of other countries, in which several CIA agents have warrants sworn out for their arrests! Bush lied to American about the existance of these camps!

held people at Gitmo for years without charges or trials until the US Supreme court told Bush TWICE that he was Violating the Genevaa Conventions and United States law!

2 tax cuts for the rich

Cut widow Benefits of those killed in Iraq by 1/2

Cut the VA Hospitals by 8 BILLION in 2006, and for all his other years their budget was flat lined

Ran up a massive debt which is: 10/18/2006 $8,540,051,729,781.32! The deficit was $5,674,178,209,886.86
9 months aftyer he was elected and the current deficit does not include the 3/4 TRILLION we have spent already in Iraq!

Cut programs for the poor, elderly, children and disabled while taking their increases in pay and tax cuts!

Emasculated the 6th amendment and under S. 3930, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, changes the wording of the Geneva convention so Bush can keep torturing in the same manner we took other countries to trial for doing to our soldiers! It auhorizes the President to establish military commissions for the trial of unlawful enemy combatants. The bill would authorize the Secretary of Defense to convene military commissions and, in concert with the Attorney General to establish the rules and procedures governing military commissions. S. 3930 also revises the War Crimes Act and would amend the Habeas Corpus provisions of the United States Code. In other words, Bush can claim you are an enemy combatant, throw you in jail with no charges, does not allow you to seek charges in a civilian court, and you would be tried by a military tribunal, and you could only have a civilian attorney if he had a top security clearance!
In addition it backdates that no US Court can charge or try, Bush or any of he ceonies for war crimes, which the US Supreme Court has already ruled that Bush was violating the Geneva Conventions.

Bush said that the US Constitution was "Just a piece of paper"!!

Leaked, or had leaked, an undercover CIA operatives name which George H W Bush said that would be an act of treason!

I could go on but I will leave you with those who are doing well because of the war! And this is for 1 year!!

Ok, if you were REALLY neither to the left nor the right, then you would have asked what BOTH sides have done for the U.S. Obviously, you think only the right is responsible for all that has happened for the last six years, thus, whether you like it or not, you are now a spokesmen for the left. And so, if you want to try to counter my assertion by saying that the Republicans have been in power for the last six years, you would be partially right. However, they have not had complete power. Perhaps you've heard of the term 'activist judges', which is what the left has been using to secure it's power these last six years, most notably in the recent Terry Schiavo murder case. As for what Republicans have accomplished, we brought freedom from the Taliban for innocent people in Afghanistan. Most notably, woman over in Afghanistan can now hold regular occupations and go to school, things that liberal women in this country take for granted. Also, the Republicans have toppled an evil dictator who thoroughly enjoyed killing his own people, this dictator being Saddam Hussein. And the Iraqis ARE happy about us taking the role of liberator in their country. Watch the news. Tax cuts instituted by President Bush have stimulated economic growth. Unemployment has dropped to 4.6 percent and is still dropping. The projected federal budget deficit has been cut by nearly 3 billion dollars because of said tax cuts. This is due to the fact that cutting taxes results in increased tax revenue (it's happened before cf. President Ronald Reagan). That's pretty substantial, I would say.

the right wing of america has taken the country and molded it's political system into a fascist style government. Wire taps, the elimination of habeas corpus, the patriot act all serve to take away the liberties of americans. the fact that 9/11 was engineered to take control of the world is also a very scary thought. I left north america in 2002 to get out. I now live happily in China. I feel I have more freedoms, and life is not as scary/intense as in the USA. 'America as failed in its duty as sole superpower' - Former secretary of state under Kennedy and Johnson, Robert McNamara. I am afraid of most Americans, and terrified of what Pax Americana will bring to the world.

I don't know how indepth you want this, but here are a few:

-Stronger Economy (stock market all time highs, increased homeownership, less jobless claims, lowest unemployment average in 40 years, increased wages) http://gop.org/News/Read.aspx?ID=6667
-Increased homeland security...there have been no further attacks on our soil since 9/11
-Huge tax cuts. Middle income families have had their refunds increase by almost $3000. http://gop.org/News/Read.aspx?ID=6667
-Record spending on education. Our schools are improving. http://www.ed.gov/nclb/landing.jhtml

What have the Republicans done for the U.S. Pretty much nothing... no wait.. I'm wrong. They did get us into this stupid war... they also are getting our troops killed by the hundreds and thousands...lets see.. they voted to put up a fence to stop illegals, of course that will never happen. i think they voted themselves big raises several times.. and they did get some mighty big tax cuts for big business... gee. isn't that enough for one poor party..... the religious right. Ha ha .. they are a joke.

The right has restored alot of our constitutional rights that liberals try so hard to take away. But liberals will try to say republicans take rights by spying on phone calls, even though the US is part of the battleground against terrorists.

If you are referring to Republicans,
Recently, I would have to say
lower taxes
falling deficit
record low unemployment
record high stock market
growing economy
falling oil prices,
to name a few things.
all while protecting the country from Islamo-fascist.
