maybe we dream in black and white but our familiarity of the life we live paints the colors for us, we know that the sky is blue and the grass is green and though it is represented to us in b/w our minds translate it to a color image based on what our mind believes would be a normal color for that item. I personally believe I dream in color and also I do notice light and dark in my dreams...

I dream in color. Maybe because I am an artist and I am so involved with color in my life. The only Black and White dream I ever had there were cartoon like characters running and screws were drilling out of their heads. I wasn't taking part in the dream and I wasn't afraid. So it wasn't a nightmare.

When I close my eyes, I see black and white and when I dream it's in color. I always wondered about that.

Somehow you are confusing dreams with TV. You might as well ask, "Do you dream in NTSC, PAL, or HD?"
Dreams are nothing more than the rationalization of your subconscious for the randomly pulsing neurons in your brain while you sleep. If this occurs while you're awake, it's called schizophrenia.
