Right now rap is more popular. But I personally prefer Rock. And lets face it, if it wasn't for what Rock music did in the 50's and 60's, there wouldn't be any Rap music today.

I think rap is popular among middle and high school students. When I was that age I loved rap, looking back I don't know why it is so repetitive and annoying. I now listen to the classic rock I grew up hearing.
