The question i think was older fighters, i have seen some of the best. How about John Ferguson Sr. Or Moose Dupont, Reggie Fleming, Tim Hunter or the best fight was Stan Jonathan against Pierre Bouchard

Tiger Williams was one tough son of a *****. I also remember a guy from Pittsburgh not too long ago who was good at throwing punches. I think his name was Frankie Lereaux. Tie Domi deserves a mention. Todays game has limited the tough guy...but each team still reserves a spot for his role. The "Hammer" Dave Shultz was a crusher as well. And Rob Ray was one of the most physical guys on ice. Todays hockey players have great talent, but none can stand toe-to-toe with old time hockey bruisers.

Dave Shultz was a great bad boy.
Sean Avery is not a great goon. He is just an agitator. He causes trouble but when whoever he is agitating wants to drop the gloves Avery runs and hides.

Dave "Hammer" Shultz got the job done and if you look at the 73-74 season has in the top ten points for the flyers as well. Punch and score.

Sean Avery of the LA Kings is a great goon. He was 250+ PIM over the the last couple of years. He is on my fantasy hockey time and just a thug.

By the way -- it's called spell check, I suggest you check it out.

Gordie Howe, he never gets enough credit here. The Howe hat trick: goal, assist & a fight. The last of the breed just retired, Tie Domi.
