This is a terrorist/hostage situation and as an American, I do not negotiate with terrorists and go ahead and kill the chicken. I will have commandos up the rooftop and windows and pump your brain out (along with the chicken if neccessary).

Well, I was a vegetarian for 8 years and purchased only products that did not involve animal testing or animal parts/by products.
I would wow them with my knowledge of farming practices and the cruelty of raising caged chickens. I would explain how there are no laws regarding the amounts of antibiotics and other enhancements that a farmer puts into their livestock feed. And of course everything that the chicken eats, the human ingests as well.
And as they were running away from me, I'd offer to sign them up for PETA membership, and ask if they wanted to try a Not Dog or a Veggie Burger (Morningstar Farms grillers... mmmm!)

Eat the chicken. But if I was really a vegan animal rights activist, I'd probably vomit on whoever was killing the chickens.

Eat the chicken, I probably already know it tastes good. And assuming I care about the life of the chicken, the answer is obvious. Do I want one chicken to die, or two? So, I eat the chicken.

Chickens are any way going to die one day, so no problem about their life. The idea is to become a better human, understand the self, the food for which this body of ours is designed, and try to live sensibly, not interfering with the natural cycle of ecology.

I am a vegan, and this isn't a fun question.
Millions of chickens, pigs, cows, fish and other animals are tortured and mutilated for you to have your precious mcnuggets, or whatever animals you eat.
Since you are gonna kill millions more chickens (a very social and friendly animal), me eating one or not eating one wont make much difference to you carnivores, it will only make a difference to me, so I choose to remain a vegan.

I am a vegetarian and love and respect all animals. That's not why I don't eat them though, although that is a good reason not to.
I don't eat meat and am a lot healthier for it. We humans were never meant to eat meat. We have the teeth of a herbivore not a carnivore.
Can't you tell that commercial meat is poison with all the recalls on thousands of pounds of meat? (Processed spinach also.)

I tell them: What difference will it make if I eat that chicken or not; being that they will probably kill another chicken regardless.

I would pretend to eat the little chicken, smile happily, walk away and spit it out so it could be free to be eaten by another chicken hater.

You say "No! you eat the chicken you rotten bastard!" and then proceed to force feed them the chicken...Then like the polite vegan you are offer them something to drink and a handy wipe for their face.
