i own a repair shop, and on the starter the solenoid or the Bendix is not kicking in all the time on it,basically it probably needs a starter, and the air leak, if it has one will make it run real funny if its leaking there, it will idle high sometimes ,and run rough, and be hard to start some times even if the starter does work right, basically you need a good mechanic to get hold of it and straiten it out some, especially and it getting ready to turn winter it wont start if it gets real cold with the air leak ,if its below the throttle body on it i have been at this for 36 yrs,and id get ot rep[aired as soon as i could, good luck with it, hope this help,s.

well if your starter is engaging or clicking every now and then its probably the solenoid in the starter. However if you have lose battery cables this will also not allow the starter to get the proper current it needs to turn the engine over. I would recommend checking the battery connections for corrosion and how tight they are. If they are tight and the battery is good throw a new starter in it. Don't put a used one in either. I don't understand what you mean the engine runs funny when the fuel pump kicks in. for the engine to be running the fuel pump has to be running on a 95. do u mean the ac compressor. what kind of leak is between the air filt and throttle body. If it is a vacuum leak it will matter if it has a maf sensor. the reason for this is the engine is letting more air in then it thinks it is. when this occurs the pcm or computer for your truck cannot adjust air to fuel mixtures properly.

OK first of all you have an S-10 Blazer. Your problem is electrical and sounds to me like it is your ignition switch. The leak does not affect the engine in this way. Hope I have been helpful.
