does that mean more than 3 quarters of the world go to 'hell'? I think it must be pretty crowded at this point.....and what about animals? They don't know Jesus from a blade of grass to munch on........so does that mean heaven is a huge church that sings hymms, has bar-b-ques (guess that answers the animal part of my question), on Easter Sunday with Jesus as the guest of honor and never a sorry word is ever said??

this is a tough one.if only christ-ians go to heaven....then what would be the point of other religions on this planet that also believe in "heaven" , "nirvana", "enlightenment", or the "ultimate transition". in genesis "GOD" says that ALL images are created to his liking, he made all living creatures and saw that they were good. now the concept of baptism isnt a knew concept, nor invented by the CHRIST-ian religion.but by the theory that even the most innocent of children, regardless of baptism will be welcomed in "GOD'S" arms and welcomed in heaven, then why wouldnt all creatures go to that same heaven. And if CHRIST died to save all humanity then, regarless of our personal acceptance of "GOD" theoretically all are going to heaven, regardless of what brand of faith they have chosen.

Ha! Ha! Ha! unfortunately you have already decided that what you've heard does not make sense and some one is playing a game with humanity.

When we start discussing heaven and hell, we seem to forget, that no one was created for hell or are condemned to hell. Those who will experience hell will do so by choice. heaven and hell is not an issue for animals because they don't have a spirit and as such they don't experience God they way we do. God made human beings with a spirit because he is a spirit being and he wanted to have a relationship with us. We can except what the written word says about the Living Word or we can "wing it"...it is a choice.

No! there will be a sorry word heard in heaven, for those who thought that it was crazy to believe that it did exist; they will be experience hell regretting the choice they made.

Finally! the Bible (the book of Revelations), if you so choose can be a source of clarity for you concerning heaven and those who will go there; and hell those who end up there. But I suspect that is not a choice that you will venture into; and so you will continue to seek through intellect and reason...but you will NEVER find the things of God without God.

You belong in heaven, but there is only ONE WAY.

PS. Easter Sunday...ha!ha!ha!

Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man goes to the Father but through me." Only those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and have accepted His free gift of salvation will go to heaven. The rest will go to hell, which was never meant for them but will hold them if they choose it. And those are the choices, there is no fence to sit upon, no third choice. You get God or no God. You're choice. Heaven and hell will be as big as necessary. The angels in heaven are a uncountable number, and 1/3 of them fell with Lucifer. Animals are not eternal, only human's have eternal souls that will dwell forever somewhere. There will be animals in the new heaven and the new earth but not the animals that are here and have already lived. There will be no bar-b-ques in Heaven, God created us initially to eat only plants, no pain or animal death. That we eat meat is a symptom of the fallen world.

Nope, I was raised a Catholic and I never heard all the things people complain about Christianity.

In fact, every Sunday or religion class I was told everyone, from every place in the world goes to heaven except us. If you behave well you go to heaven.
Seriously, that's why I always get annoyed with this threads, someone in Africa is going to heaven because he suffers from starvation, a bad brahmin Hindu is going to heaven even if he threats people like garbage because he never knew the preachings of Jesus, but we are the only ones that need to follow the rules or we are going to heaven (And in fact, only in some issues -suicide, murder- i was told i may had go to hell). Either way this post keep going and going.

Maybe is a Catholic thing, or maybe is an American thing, I was never told Jews were bad, Judas Iscariot was only part of a divine plan, the Darwinist theory is acceptable, you are not allowed to use condoms but everyone does without remorse.
And yes, Everyone goes to heaven, except us.

I don't believe in God now, but Christianity is not the monster people try to make, maybe is only in the USA

The bible gives us the answer. Consider this text at Revelation14:3 "And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth." So according to this scripture 144,000 individuals will go to heaven. What they will do there is answered in this scripture Revelation 5:10 "and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.” As for the rest of us read Psalms 37:11 and 29 to find the answer.

Before Christ came everyone went to hell. When God saw that humans were sinners we were cast out of the garden of eden.
But we don't know much about hell. Churches and governments have created visions of fiery pits to scare people into submission. But hell could simply be 'the absence of God' and if so, much of the world is already in hell so not much will change when they die (other than the torture of finding out they were wrong about God). Hell could also be nothing...that when you die your soul is dead. So those who believe that nothing happens when they die, will get what they want.
When Jesus came, he sacrificed himself for our salvation. He was the lamb whose blood was spilled to pay for our sins. We didn't do anything to deserve it - that's GRACE. When he died on the cross he went to hell and brought the 'dead in Christ' back to heaven. So all those who died waiting for Christ's coming were also saved. Then after three days, He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven in the flesh. And it is because of Christ's sacrifice that humans are allowed to be in heaven (which could simply mean 'in the presence of God'). The only catch is that you must BELIEVE in Christ and accept that he sacrificed himself for our sins. Christ is the one that speaks to God on our behalf - if he doesn't know you, he can't speak for you.
So you're looking at this the wrong way. You should be grateful that we can even get to heaven. You should be grateful for a gift that we do not deserve. You should be grateful that Christ stands up for us even though we are sinners - not squabbling about the food, the company, the activities...like a spoilt child.
When Jesus returns to earth, he will defeat satan and all those that have not been saved will be cast into the Lake of Fire, and then he will rebuild earth to be as it is in heaven.
There is no Golden Rule to get to heaven. Doing good deeds, being a good person, going to church, being a christian - none of that matters. But the idea is that when you see what Jesus did for us, you will want to be more like Him.
I don't know about animals. I hope they are there. And humans who never had a choice about Christ - will be there (Grace, again). But nowadays, most of the world knows about Christianity and has, at some point, decided to believe or not. So if you are worried about seeing your friends there, you need to make sure they REALLY understand the choice they are making.

Let me answer this question by first stating what a "Christian" truely is. A Christian is a human who has admitted that he/she is a sinner and has fallen short of the glory of God and has come to realize that Christ, God's only begotten Son, is their saving grace by His dying on the cross for our sins. This is called regeneration. Any individual who performs this simple act of faith is renounced of their sins and is now a follower of Christ or a Christian. At this point the Christian will get to spend eternity with God. So given this you are probably asking the question of how do I know if Christianity is the way? Well think about human nature, do we all treat each other with dignity and respect? Certainly not, for the most part we are out to kill, steal and generally rip off other people. Just think about all the crime and death in our country. This includes everyone whether they like to admit it or not. These actions are a result of our sin nature. Also I will have you think about people's desires and wants. Are people satisfied when they have had one drink or one new car. Never, they are constantly wanting more. Why? Because we are implanted with a God shaped hole if you will that can only be filled with Him. And until we find Him we will constantly try to fill it with other things, cars, real estate, whatever. But it will never satisfy because it isn't what we need. Truely this entire business of being a Christian is really no more than a personal relationship with Christ, just like a relationship with your mother or father. It is a daily walk with him. Now regarding the Heaven issue. Heaven is defined as God's dwelling place in the bible. There is no biblical scripture that states that we will stay with him there for eternity. We will be with him but not in heaven, if that makes any sense. My view of eternity with him will be helping him rule and manage his universe. No one really knows what it will be but it will be awesome! I think that God will reward those who chose him beyond our wildest dreams. And I don't think it will be clouds and harps if you know what I mean.

I want you to think about all the other world religions. Do they have a book that was written by over 35 authors over 3000 years that has been preserved to this day? Do they admit that people are generally bad and need to repent for their sins? How is it that so many people have become Christians and felt so much joy and change in their lives. The fact is that Christianity is the only way and I know that with all my heart! I truely encourage you to ask God for forgiveness of your sins and begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! If you have any other questions please ask! In Christ's name

You can believe in whatever you want. You dont have to be a Christian to be able to accpet Jesus as your Lord and Savior and admit that you are a sinner. However, I guess doing that makes you a Christian...either way, that is the only way to heaven. As for animals.....animals don't have souls. None of us know what heaven will be like though...the Bible only briefly gives clues about it. No I dont think that you favorite cat or dog will go to heaven, but you don't know what God has in store for your when you get there. I think there will be food in heaven because I consider eating with one another a form of fellowship...in that case I think there may be animals available for eating. Some things are complicated and unknown, the only way to find out is to trust in God and find out what He has in store for us all when we get to heaven.

To answer your question, the Bible does say that most of the world will go to hell. Not because they have to but because they will not trust Christ. And an animal's spirit goes back into the ground with it's body. Ours does not because we are made in the image of God and that means it lives forever as God lives forever. And the Bible says we will live on Earth again when it is returned to perfection pretty similar to how we live now, only with no sorrow or pain or bad stuff.

Hmmm, that was a quite wrong question. To ask a question like that, one would have to be educated in the Bible. 2) if you knew the Bible you would know that " Not one sparrow goes unnoticed by God.. ( plus how would you know animals don't know God? Did you ask an animal?) So therefore animals are loved by God. Before ever asking a question like that, in the mocking manner you asked it... you should be well prepared in your knowledge of the Bible to even argue the question. " Your kingdom is an everlating kingdom and you dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is faithful to all his promised and loving toward ALL he has made." Psalm 145:13 My judgement of where christians and non-christians go is not my place to judge. My belief is in the Bible! So you should read before you mock anything about it!

Not just christains go to heaven. Grant I am a christain, the only thing you have to do to go to heaven is believe in Jesus Christ. Most people think you have to live a certin way or do only certin things, but its not that hard. Even sinners go to heaven, every day. So no 3/4 of the world will go to Hell.
