I would choose the Navy because they have more opprtunities and benefits. I also wanted to join the Navy, but it was interrupted when I started a family. I don't like heights so the Airforce was out of the question. I don't think the Army pays as much as them all because my sister served.

I certainly respect you for that.
I served almost 21 years in the Air Force myself and I chose the Air Force for several reasons. I was only 17 years old when I enlisted and was always a smaller person because I was an asthmatic and had other health problems with allergys besides. I was unable to run for one thing but capable to do almost anything else so that prevented me for doing physical things required of a person for the Army or Marines and I had no inclination of wanting to joining the Navy at all. I had a brother-in-law who understood this as well as I did and he recommended I join the Air Force of which I did. I loved the Air Force and had sincere love for my country and serving over 20 years I think proves that.
So if you think that some us didn't have the guts to join one of the other branch of services your wrong. Fact is I think I drank a gallon of water prior to taking my physical so I was sure to pass the weight requirements. I learned more in my 1st four years of service then I could have going to school for another four years and when I retired I had not only achieved my high school diploma but had enough college credits for credit of two or more years of college too. I not only served my country honorably, I gained experience I never would have gotten, and became an educated and better person also.

Navy, I am a 12 year Navy Vet. I chose the Navy because of the training offered. If you are looking for skills, especially technical skills, to use in the civillian world IMHO the Navy or Air Force are the two best bets. All branches have their good and bad points.

Air Force.
Nicer bases, easier assignments and trainings, and higher pay (from what I understand from friends).

No offense intended towards any other branch of our fine armed services - I am a Navy brat, and lived near MANY bases from all branches of the services. Beleive me, I don't discriminate in any way, but if I had to choose 1, it would be the AF. However, it sure would be cool to be an Army Ranger!

I used to be a personal trainer at Langley AFB - mostly Army guys from Ft. Eustis and a couple AF girls.
