There are only 4 commonly used passages of Scripture to "prove that there is no marriage in heaven" but all 4 of these when proplerly understood, are shown to be commonly mis-interpreted. Does God make mistakes? Does He give people to each other only temporarily?

Yes... There is marriage in Heaven.

No...God doesn't make mistakes. Ever. Mistakes in the Bible are the mistakes of men. Misintepretations, incorrect changes over the centuries.

Family is the most important institution. Why? Because God set life up that way from Adam & Eve.

Why does God have us call Him "Father" if there also isn't a "Mother"? If He wasn't literally our Father, being perfect , He wouldn't lead us astray like that.

Marriage is an eternal principal set forth by God. However, most people on earth only have the authority to marry " 'til death do us part"

There are some men, good and honest, who have the correct priesthood authority to marry couples not just for time but for all eternity. by doing so, not only are our marriages intact for all eternity but our other family relationships can be too, such as parent-child.

I think it's likely that the apparent discrepancies are actually proof of us mortals not seeing things from God's perspective.

Offhand, I can only bring to mind the verse about how there will be no "giving" of marriage. I'm pretty sure this means there will be no new marriages.

For those of us who were married in our lives, I think we'll recognize each other and care for each other as we do in real life, but it will be different.

Consider a couple who are Christians, and the wife dies. The widower mourns, but eventually marries another Godly woman. SOMETHING about marriage would have to be different, because if it weren't, there would either be polygamy or earthly marriages will become void.

Personally, I think the fact is that, even though we put SO MUCH emphasis on love and marriage with fellow mortals in life, in Heaven, we'll be so focused on worshipping God up-close and personal, it won't seem odd or wrong for us to not see our earthly spouses and resume a marital relationship.

Hank: What about people who are cursed by tragedies outside of their control? Does your idea of Heaven include children dying of cancer? Why would their Heaven be so much more painful than mine?

As human beings we have spouses in the next life, at least from the perspective of Islam.

When I was a Christian I remember being taught that only "the sons of God would enter Heaven" well what about the 'women'?

The reply was because their is no need for reproduction their is no need for 'women', the problem is the very core concept of 'son of God' is reproduction based.

To say " only begotten son" is to imply 'reproduction', if reproduction has no place in Heaven then why is it attributed to God by Christians?

And why is it that the angels are attributed with 'reproductive' capabilities in referance to Goliath and the giants who were the sons of angels?

Why is it that 'God can beget children' according to the New testament and Psalm 2:7; then the angels can beget giants such as Goliath, but it is not possible for a man to have a wife in Heaven?

From the Islamic perspective God is without wife and son, the angels are masculine, and human beings male and female are made for each other.

In Gods word The Holy Bible in Mark 12:25 the answer is "no". The meaning "but are like angels in Heaven" simply means that neither is there marriage between the angels. We will be higher than angels in Heaven. That is if you are "born again" This means a spiritual birth. The only way to be "born again" is accepting Gods free gift of salvation for your eternal soul. John 3:16

First, you will have to define heaven, confirming that you have been there and not just having read a few books. Then, you will have to define marriage in a multidimensional context, otherwise there is no meaning in the question. Finally, if you are taking the "scriptures" literally, you will be lost in the circumscription and limitations of inferences and interpretations. You seem lost in the superficiality of the words of the scriptures. Go deeper!

There is no physical marriage in Heaven because the whole purpose of marriage is to lead one's spouse to Christ and that purpose has been fulfilled. Marriage is a sacrament that was given to us by Christ so that man and wife can be continually sanctified on their journey that leads to Christ.

Sacraments are needed while we are here on earth to prepare us for union with God and each other in Heaven, but once we are in Heaven, we do not need the Sacraments because we are seeing God face-to-face and we have reached our ultimate goal.

There is a mystical marriage though, the marriage of Christ and His Bride the Church, of which we all are a part of for those who believe.

well... speaking from what I know of Christianity, we are separated from the divine spirit(God) which leaves an empty place in our soul. God fills that need with a partner to temporarily fill that void. Heaven is the unequivocal love we have for everything and everyone, without prejudice or bias over one single soul.

I think the points Christ/ God where trying to make is don't worry about such things because they won't matter in heaven. All souls will be in union with God. I think Thomas Aquinas touchs on that in the Summa Theologica.

Isn't it wonderful that there are so many interpretations of the bible and that such an infallible god should allow his book to be written full of mistakes and contradictions? Surely he could have simply created a perfect book.

I absolutely agree with some of the comments above the only marriage in God's kingdom will be Christ and His Bride (The Church).
