YES - and its a shame he was prohibited by the Constitution from running for another term. He was the best President this country has seen in a long, long time and did more for this country in one term than Bush has done in 6 miserable, long years. Let's hope the next President is a Democrat and can bring back some of the hope, optimism and good times we enjoyed during the Clinton years.

I don't think so. The prosperity came because of the rise of the internet and more homes with PC's. The dot.com thing rode high for a few years and you had computer geeks making more money than they knew what to do with. Then the big bust came about the time Bush got into office.
The peace came because Mr. Clinton refused to get involved in the rest of the world's problems unless he had solid backing from the UN. He knew Osama and his posse were going to be trouble and he knew they were in Afghanistan but he had no solid case to take to the UN to get world approval to go in there and bomb the piss out of them. Mr. Clinton just happened to be prez at the right time with the right conditions for peace and prosperity.
His only fault is that he couldn't keep something in his pocket but he has always had that problem. I went to junior high and high school in Little Rock when he was first elected governor of Arkansas and the rumors and tales of his lovin' the ladies swirled thick and heavy back then. Ole Hilary isn't the faithful long suffering wife that she would like the public to believe either. I've got a reliable eye witness to the many long lunches she shared with Vince Foster when they were working at big law firms in downtown Little Rock. Seems Mr. Foster was a little more than a shoulder to cry on when Hilary caught Bill playing the field.
I think the majority of the public forgave or overlooked the fact that Mr. Clinton got lucky in the Oval Office but lying to a grand jury tarnished his otherwise good presidency.

You did not just ask this question....Nobody can be that stupid. Clinton was a joke. The only thing he was EVER good at was schmoozing. With Monica, the Chinese, the North Koreans etc. Our economic boom was deffinately not because of anything he did. Have you heard of the dot.com bubble? Peace? Is that what you call it when the USS Cole was attacked or the Marine Base in Tanzania? And who was in charge and did NOTHING? Wasn't Clinton in office while binLaden was planning his evil attacks of 9/11 because he KNEW Clinton, as usual, would do nothing? Why is it that Bush's administration is in office when the dow hits 12,000 for the first time ever and you people want to talk about how bad the economy is?

No, especially since he had nothing to do with either. If you believe differently, then maybe you need to re-examine the facts and circumstances. You must be quite young and naive to believe that Clinton had any bearing on this country's peace and prosperity. Read up, review, and come back when you have a clue.

Not that I'm really that fond of hilary, but if she has the nomination in 2008, she's got my vote...and yoou knpw what? good old W.J. Clinton will be on her side, and you know he won't be just greeting visitors in the Lincoln Room...he's leading from the side now and will likely be doing so in the future...He'd be a great person to send to a hot spot and he'd have some clout with other nations...a lot better than Rice.

Yes I really do. In fact as far as I am concerned I would rather have him, even with six interns and naughty naughty in oval office than the morally and intellectual deficient monkey that is inhabiting right now. CLINTON CLINTON YEAH CLINTON, ANy CLINTON will do, even Chelsea

Peace and prosperity?
Bosnia, Seriabo, a multitude of terrorist attacks, demestic terror attacks that have never been done prior or since, Ruby Ridge, just to name a few. Clinton was sure to fight any war that the UN wanted us to and run when they started fighting back.
You might want to take off those rose colored glasses there.
