Allah (AL= the, Ilaha = God) has fixed the time and place of death of every body (Human, animal etc). Only Allah alone knows when a person will die. The time in this world is very precious and it is an exmaintion which prepares us for the next world which is eternal. Time is simply too precious to be wasted on uselsee things. When we die Qurna says that your actual eternal life begins. It gives considerable detail;s which you want to know about.
The God All Migthy is prefectly capable to guide human beings. He sent His messengers from day 1. The very first messenger was Adam and he was Muslim (Meaning obedient and peaceful) and his religion was Islam (Menaing peace and obedience to the God), then came Noah, Abraham, Ismeel, Ishaqu (Isac), etc. etc. Moses, Jesus (Peace be upon them) But since their audince were limited and their time perioid were limited the God did nto save their books and their languages also vanished in few hundred years. However then Mushmmad (PBUH) as promised in Torah and Injeel (Books of Moses and Jesus respectively) was sent and since his time of prophethod was till the last day, the book given to him had to be protected in its origianl language (Trnaslations can nver be equal and the same). The God in Qurna promised that the book will beprotected by Him and exactly that had happened. There is not a cahnge of a single letter or wrod and it its today as fresh as on day 1. Yo an see this yourself on dfferent TV stations across the world wth same Quran.

To be frank I would use my time productively thinking if I live for a few more years then how can I make life better and longer for others and me. We all have to die one and we cannot do anything about what happens to us at that time or after that. So why waste time thinking about something of no value.

I'm pretty sure if it ever does happen I'll stop breathing, as unlikely as my life ending really is.
