Thats about as fast as dialup gets! I hope you are refering to dialup, if you are talkin even cheap DSL you got probs! As far as some of the rest of you answerers, you need to sit back and stop yammerin about chit you know nothing about! Some of these answers are about as lame as they get!

depends. If you use torrents or p2p for download 50kb is good if you downloading from your browser and you have 3Mb or faster DSL or Cable internet and you're getting 50KB then there is something wrong with; either your internet connection or your computer. I suggest using firefox and see if there is a major difference.

well, its considered not bad for a broadband but it all depends on the source of transfer. If its p2p, its all about the opposite's speed. If its something like ftps or direct download, 50kb is um..well...i guess i can call it kinda slow..

well...its a whole lot faster than dial up. It depends on wat kind of connection u have. and if its a DSL conn. then how far away u r from the sub station that is sending it out. if u have a cable line like RR or Optimum then ya thats way to slow and u might want to call ur provider and complain.

Not really. It all depends on your connection. It also depends on the server on the other side. If you are getting faster ones from another source, that wouldn't be surprising.
