Persona checks can be cashed in places such as a Western Union agency or authorized agency. MoneyMart, WesternUnion, etc. There are liquor stores, as well as 7-Elevens that would do that. You would have to check with your local retailers for more information. Have at least two IDs ready, perhaps a pay stub, bill, etc. to prove it's you and your address verification. Some places don't ask for all of it at once, so make sure you ask what you need.

Grocery stores take personal checks for above the amount of your bill and you can get cash back.
