If you are having any bleeding during pregnancy, especially anything more than light spotting, you should get to your doctor as soon as possible. He or she can assess your situation and make that determination. If it is very early in your pregnancy, it would be nearly impossible to find out otherwise. If it is later in your pregnancy, you would want to make sure that the bleeding is not from the placenta separating partially from the uterine wall or for any other potentially life-threatening situation. Please ask your doctor about this. Bleeding during pregnancy should always be treated seriously and assessed by your OB.

from what i understand, a miscarriage would be thicker but looks like blood from a wound and you can bleed a large amount at once and can continue for a period of time.... also you may see almost a tissue like substance pass through.... however both create cramps and yes you can have ur period while pregnant but its not always the best thing. if you have any questions u should really ask your doctor.

When a woman has a miscarriage she can tell. She cramps and the bleeding is too heavy. The pad will fill up like twice as fast (than normal).

Yes, you certainly can have your period while pregnant. A miscarriage would be heavy bleeding, sometimes clots and sometimes painful.

If you see any grey matter, or heavy clotting, go to the emergency room and they will do an ultrasound to confirm they call this a threatened miscarriage. I have had one and gone to the emergency room 2x and the second was confirmed miscarriage. be save and go have yourself checked out, you will feel better.
