I got bored with it after the 3rd season because it's so repetative and predictable. The terrorist threat always seems to involve high level US goverenment officials or a secret "shadow government" manipulating everything. The terrorist operatives are always just pawns of the US government. It seems as if the writers are always trying to convey that terrorism is just a "red herring" and that the top US officials are always corrupt.

What a shame you don't like 24. All seasons were great, especially four and five. You're entitled to your opinion but there have been different story lines. Besides, why don't you think these stories couldn't actually happen?
