if you feel you did poorly in a subject then theres only one thing to do, study. you can even get a tutor. and dont worry about people making fun of you because the only people that would be making fun of you are the ones who were too afraid to get help themselves.

I took it when I was a sophomore and was worried about my math (although I ended up doing best on that part, actually!) but the fact was I ended up learning most of the math stuff in my junior year because I hadn't taken Trig, Statistics, Calc or anything like that. If the math was your worst you should be fine as long as you take another math class next year.

your not the only one who did terrible in math, me too when im young lol., dont worry and dont be upset, math is not the only subect you can get along, maybe in some other subects, you passed. join a group of classmate who are good in math, they will absolutely teach you to improve your math, and also self study with concentration on it. pls do continue your studies, dont stop, its for your future. there were so many degree holder/professional who are not good in math but still they were able to finished and had a degree. and not all are proficient in math i tell you, but theyre holding a key position in some companies. you're still young, there are plenty of time for you, wish you all the best.

First of all -- good for you for taking the PSAT now. My oldest daughter is in college and it was a nightmare getting her accepted even tho she had 3.4 grade average (but low SAT scores!).
Even if you had done fair on your test, based on my experience with my daughter -- I highly recommend your taking an SAT prep class next year. Hopefully you will have your choice to take it at a local high school or thru a professional prep class. My daughter's high school offered the prep classes after school but she could not bear to be away from her boyfriend. We even tried to get her to go to Sylvan Learning Center's prep classes but she still would not spend the time away from her boyfriend. Sadly, even tho she had a solid 3.4 average, she got turned down at every college she applied to!! We finally forced the last college that rejected her to reconsider their decision and she has been doing fine ever since she got there. So now we tell our sophomore son to not sweat the grades but to make sure he scores super high on the SATs. As a parent, it was absolutely heart-breaking to keep seeing all those rejection letters coming in last year and consoling my bewildered daughter who kept wondering what was the value in trying so hard to keep up her grades. I refuse to watch my son suffer like that as well! For him, prep classes will NOT be optional, even if he scores decent on the PSAT!
So bottom line -- I would not worry about your score. Enjoy high school and all the fun activities your school has to offer. (They make for wonderful memories later and something you can talk about at class reunions!) Study hard and don't sweat the grades. But mostly, do take the SAT prep class(es) your junior year either at your school or thru a professional center.

hun, i did all sorts of practice tests to get ready for the SAT...for two years. nothing is like the real thing. when it came down to it, the actual test was much easier than any of the practice stuff...i got a 1230, and an academic scholarship out of it. don't worry about it, just keep studying.

Continue your studies and start studying for the test. Pay special attention to the items which gave you the most difficulty. You'll be okay.
