Superstition...Rally to win...It is not that they are losing, although they could be, but they could use the rally cap in a tie game!

I just asked the same thing, kind of. It's called the Rally cap, it's to turn your teams luck around, or inside out if you will. I don't know where it started though.

It's a Rally hat...fans do this when their team is losing and they are trying to "rally" them back into the game...

when they do that, it is known as a rally cap. it is done with the hope that it will bring fortune and cause their team to score runs.
