ok..try this,....
Get a bottle of rubbing alcohol and some white vinegar. Open up the bottle of alcohol and put a cap full of vinegar into it... Shake well. Then put the mixture in a eye dropper. Squirt it into each ear and let drain. When it drys it will clear up all the infection and prevent further infections.
IT works better than anything I have ever tried or heard of since.

I feel your pain. My daughter, by the time she was nine months old, had over 20!! ear infections and at nine months she had tubes put in her ears. I think it's the sucking that is helping your baby. The bottle, they say, is bad to oput your baby to bed with. I know it's opening a whole new can or worms but have you tried a binkie? My daughter loved that thing when she wasn't feeling good. I was also told that something about where the ear and throat connect, when they're young it's not fully developed to close off to the ear so if they're not burped or lay down while eating it'll actually cause the ear infections.

Putting a child to bed with a bottle actually increases the risk of ear infections. The liquid goes up a small canal into the ear, where it is trapped.

From what I have read and been told by pediatricians. putting your babies to sleep with a bottle causes ear infections. You should try and find another way to get him to sleep. If he has to keep getting on antibiotics he will build up a resistance to them. (this could cause problems down the road) I am sure that you can come up with some different ways to help your baby get to sleep. (your a mom, and with that comes new wisdom). Ask your pedi for some help with this issue as well. Try putting pillow under him, so that he would not be laying flat on his back. This may help stop the ear infections! Good luck to you!

does anyone smoke around the baby? If so, that could be a cause to the ear infections. Also, if your baby has sinus problems, that could cause ear infections as well... but DONT put your baby to bed with a bottle... unless its water. I know this sounds awful, but you can really hurt your baby's teeth and gums. You're going to have to ween your baby off the body in a few months any way, so you might as well start weening him now. try something else to ease his discomfort and try a bedtime routine. good luck.

Yes, its bad. Any doctor will tell you it may be the cause of his earaches. You will have to train him to go to bed without the bottle, perhaps a pacifier would be a good substitute. Remember you are the mom and you know what's best. Just because he wants the bottle doesn't mean you must give it to him. He has to learn at a young age that mom does what is best for him, even if he may not like it. Been through it!

Yes it's bad.
If he can't go to sleep without the bottle, and lots of babies can't, hold him while he's getting the last bottle. Keep him upright as much as possible. Never put him in the crib with his bottle. On top of ear infections, it can cause tooth decay.
Instead of the bottle in his crib, give him a pacifier when he's done with the bottle.

Yes it is bad. He is getting ear infections because you are giving him a bottle in his bed. It is also going to rot his little teeth.

A bottle in bed advances tooth decay. Perhaps that's not a problem yet. At some point you'll want to wean him/her but right now it's not a problem. I have 4 kids. The oldest one got a bottle at bed time until he was three (thanks to his mother). The youngest one quit using bottles around 9 months. Just brush what-teeth-they-have regularly and take the bottle from them after they fall asleep or at least before the milk spoils.

honey, honey honey, the bottle in bed is giving him the ear infections,. Reason being that they lie there half asleep, and some of the fluid in the bottle trickles down the side of his face, and into the ears, causing the infection. try it yourself, lay down, and dribble tythe bottle out of your mouth, where does it run??? into your ears. Hope this will solve the puzzle.
