Evolution demonstrates that those organisms with favorable traits, whether it be physical, biochemical or psychological, will survive at any given time in the earth's history. Keeping this in mind, it seems logical to think that when humankind reached a level of self awareness to death, and the awareness that nature is more powerful than us (lightening, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes), death would be a scary concept. So, those hominids whose brain came up with the idea of god and an afterlife, had a greater chance of survival and nature favored that brian wiring over those who had no idea of a god or after life. Belief in an afterlife has great survival value.

In case you either have not read your history books, or the bible. Many different cultures through history had created and had many gods. Go to the bookstore check online. Learn world history. Why do you think God's son was crucified ? If you do not want to work to hard to learn the Answer then just watch the history channel.

Humans create Gods all the time... God is someone or something that you follow to any extreme... sports, money, fame, you can idolize anything to the point of making it a God in our life....

We can make other Gods if we dont know about, or just dont care about the One True God. who spoke the earth into creation, and sent Jesus Christ his Son to die for the Sin of man, and make a way to reign with him for eternity.

Yes.. but here is how. I believe in our own rebellious minds we make ourselves god. God the creator of the Heavens and the Earth Created us and so the obvious to that truth would be that we should serve and worship Him.. ...The Creator.
But many choose not to.
Mans original sin can be broken up into categories;
1. Adam & Eve ate of the fruit because they wanted to be like God.
2. They were both questioning God's authority
3. They both sought to exalt themselves above God's authority.

Thus all of the above caused them to both be disobedient to the will of God and both sought self righteousness... once again to be like God.
Once again...... do humans create gods?? yep.... we make ourselves god everytime we choose to deny Jehova God the Creator.

depends what you mean because humans have created many gods
becuase it is such a mystery to us and we all have different beliefs.
if you mean actually create as in make a god no because if we were created by god why would we able to create one. wow this question gets u thinking a LOT. i could write a book about my thoughts on this.

Yes humans tend to create gods. they do this because they do not want to accept the real God. They create their own to fit their lives without bothering to adjust to what the Lord says.

In their infinite ignorance, human beings can only imagine what they cannot know. Image is a language which allows humans to understand the question that cannot be answered in this dimension. We create God according to our 'vocabulary'.
