Is there a way to add color to your mail that others recieve?

Sure there is!

In Outlook Express open a new message and go to the menu that says format --> background --> picture or color.

This will allow you to add custom settings to your outgoing message.

if you send your mail in plain text format, then no.

use html format and you can use lots of fancy stuff: colored text, different fonts, background colors or images, etc.
