Could Jesus microwave a burito so hot, even he couldn't eat it?

If there is a g-d and if it is all powerful like people say it is then it wouldn't be able to create a rock so big that it can not pick up. If it were all powerful then it wouldn't be capable of creating something that can be even more than all powerful that it is but it could create something to its equal. Even all powerful thing have some restrictions on it.

Many people wave this question away and say "pish-tosh" because it is of an inherently paradoxical nature. It is not a logical question, but what they fail to realise is that being unanswerable is the entire point.

They say that God is all powerful, so by nature he can do, quite literally, anything. However, doing everything also includes the ability to contradict his own actions (otherwise it's not "everything", is it?). Clearly this presents a limitation and, as an omnipotent being, such limitations cannot exist.

Suggesting that 'everything' only includes logical possibilities suggests that God is limited by the universal laws he supposedly created - or in other words, there exist structures and boundaries that are more powerful than God himself. Then saying that God is not limited by logic is just a copout - logic is a way of explaining the inherent rationality of things, not limiting them.

Omnipotence is, in itself, a logical absurdity, and this question is designed to prove that.

Yes, God is so powerful that he could make a rock so big that even He could not pick it up, but because he's God he could pick it up anyway.

I would not ascribe physical power to G-d nor necessarily a masculine gender. G-d is a spiritual issue and in some religions their beliefs are faith-based. The "power" of that spirit is the essence of our soul which thrives on the universal life energy force--which some people never get.

The answer is a simple YES. He can make a rock so big he can not pick it up. HE can make a grain of rice he can not pick up. And do you want to know how this is possible???
All he has to do is say this. I WILL NOT PICK UP THIS GRAIN OF RICE. Then he can not pick it up. The reason for this is. GOD CAN NOT LIE. Could he physicly pick it up? sure he could. Would he? I dont think so.

The question is a paradox that can't be answered because it is a logical falacy. The true answer is why would he want to or need to. The question posed proves that the person asking has no intent to actually find knowledge, only to challenge something with a ridicoulous question.

If God has to undergo this test to just retain his 'name' & 'designation' by doing this, well, perhaps he would create a huge rock that he himself cannot pick it up, and then also create a huge person, who can pick it up, and yet remain humble before God, not trying to claim superiority !
