i think married moms yell at their kids too?

A married mom can be just as harried and stressed as a single mom and very often have less support than a single mom. I have seen many married moms yells at their kids. I really don't think this is a single mom issue - more of a stressed mom issue.

I wish I could relive my kids' toddler years. . .I would have more patience. Those years are gone so quickly! When I see moms yelling at their kids (how would you know a single mom from a married or engaged mom?), I can empathise with them, becuase I was there, but I want to tell them "Wait! Stop! You will be missing this time of their lives so soon!"

everyone yells at their kids at some point, not just single parents, some kids will try you and the situation needs to be dealt with then and there isn't a reason to take them outside or in a bathroom because people are there too so no matter where you go you're going to have someone listening or an audience, if they're going to be embarrassing or act up then they need to be embarrassed about their behavior and what better way than to draw attention to them...

I am a single mom and have always "talked" to my child in public. I believe that you respect a person no matter what age. I would ask you why to whatever type of mom you are would call your child bad. Most good moms would know that the kids aren't bad. They are kids that do bad things.

Why does anyone yell at all? No, we are not saints but yelling resolves nothing and creates fear. So unless that is the goal, we need to find another way to deal with anger, frustration, disappointment, unhappiness, etc. Maybe we should ask our Father in Heaven for a better way. He should know because look how he deals with His children. Lots of patience and forgiveness. Our children are gifts, on loan to enhance our lives and get us to the lessons we are to learn.

So why do married women yell at their kids and allow them all over the stores, the restaurants, and think nothing about it?

That is the other form of the question you asked -- and there is a reason I did this --

BECAUSE

As a Long-Term Single Mom of TWO disabled Children -- one who had to deal with the IGNORANCE of those who THOUGHT they were "better than I am" -- are the ones who were the most ignorant, prejudiced, and their kids -- wow -- they were HORRIBLY prejudiced brats -- and were the ones who picked on MY disabled Children and other Disabled Children.

and like that is a better place to yell at them. yelling dont solve anything. no wonder the kids dont listen. ive been a single mom, and i talk to my kids, and i got off my *** 400 times to teach them desirable behaviors and role modeled it too. and it didnt involve screaming, name calling, hitting. i taught by example.
