Would the U.S. government be better if Lobbying was outlawed?

Some people argue that banning lobbyist from having access to Congress would be a violation of free speech. I say that is bull because the majority of American voices (the poor and the working class) are not being heard because they can't afford to express their constitutional rights. I think the Government would be less corrupt and more likely to benefit all Americans if lobbying was banned. What do you think?
