If you can afford to save for the difference I would recommend the USA Tele. I spend a lot of time repairing and setting up both nationalities of this model and, in my opinion, the USA Tele and Strat are superior in manufacture, assembly, components and set up. Fender shipped the manufacture to Latin America as a cost cutting move and I am certain that this is reflected in the Mexican Strat and Telecaster. My advice is to try both nationalities (preferably side by side) and make your own assessment.

What you're asking is an exceptionally subjective question. Strats are somewhat twangy yet are greater versatile IMHO. The Les Paul is punchier and has the classic skill rock sound, exceedingly while performed via an previous Marshall amp. In my adventure, although, it is not lots what you play, it is what you play via. quite a few the modeling pedals accessible could make even guitars with anemic unmarried coil pickups scream, and you would be able to make your guitar sound like it is coming nonetheless any type of amps. i in my view play nonetheless a Behringer V-Amp 2. in case you won't be able to make certain, seem at quite a few the Ibanez or different guitars that have 2 humbuckers and a unmarried coil interior the middle, exceedingly in case you are able to decrease between the bridge pickup's coils off. That way, you are able to have the Strat's sound and a Les Paul sound in one guitar.

The answer is in the ear and hands of the beholder. Go to a decent music store that has a room where you can try out a few guitars and compare.

there really is not that much of a difference. the woods used may be different, as in the neck and fret board may be a little better. the only thing to consider is that the american strat probably has better pick ups in it, so it might sound better.

the mexican sounds fatter as with a les paul where the usa is sharp and the leads are crisper and the rythum less fat.

they're both the same guitar, they just charge more for the one with "made in USA." Just because it has made in USA doesn't necessarily mean it's so.... put a blindfold on you can't tell the difference.
