Sagittarius are restless, outgoing, sociable and are go getters. They also love to debate, travel and love animals. However they are blunt, judgemental and bossy too. They will not tolerate dishonesty, clinginess and controlling behaviour. Generally earth signs are not compatible (taurus especially, virgo and capricorn). Also pisces is not a good lasting relationship match. Leo's are a good match, libras are a great match. strangely enough scorpio can be a good match too, especially if the sag has a strong scorpio influence. You may find yourself attracted to virgo's, gemini's and pisces, but these would be difficult to sustain in the long run. I myself am a sagittarius and I am with a libra and we are very compatible.

Anyone who is willing to either go along with your plans, or has the same mind about things. Sags tend to be very, umm, direct. Their mates need to be able to hear their "constructive criticism" with out getting easily offended. They also need to be able to make a rational argument to support decisions, and use their heads and not their feelings so much. The Sag's mate also needs to be able to balance mood swings, and be able to reason with a person who won't change his/ her mind about something that may be a bad decision.
In other words, another Sag, Leo, or Taurus (best if partner has Libra, Virgo, or Pisces rising).
