I would like to discuss this question with you if possible, but I'll attempt to answer it here, regardless.
What is the nature of man? Well, stripped of all belief systems and modern day misconceptions of what man, or mankind is, essentially, we are nothing more than animals.
But in saying that we are nothing more than animals, I am not saying that being nothing more than an animal is of lessor value, or negative in any way. I am proud to be an animal. I am a living breathing creature of the Earth. But this is where we differ from the rest of the animal "kingdom". We are able to contemplate what we are, in relation to the rest of the natural world.
Unfortunately, the ability to be self aware has allowed us to become arrogant, especially in regards to our physical connection to the the Earth itself and all other forms of life that dwell upon it. Somehow, we started to think that we are more important than everything else. A crazy notion when, now, as we look at all the environmental destruction taking place in our world, and all at the hands of humanity.
Clearly, we are not the most important aspect of the planet Earth. All things on the Earth are not here to serve us, we are simply part of a much larger system than ourselves.
Then, why did this happen? Where di we go wrong?
The truth is, nothing ever really went wrong, we just simply had no idea what the affects would be to the advent of modern life, of so called "progress", of global industrialization.
In ones individual day to day life, the average person is not thinking about the adverse affects of pollution, or greed, or power, they are concerned with putting food on the table, and making sure they and their loved ones have a safe place to live.
In order to change the "nature" of mankind, mankind needs to be educated as to the affects of not following a protocol for living.
This protocol for living would come from the perspective of rational thought and of science, NOT religion. Religion can to easily be abused as a means of acquiring power and wealth. Acquiring power and wealth is another part of the problem, it's helps no one but the self, and that is counter productive if we are to achieve long term survival of the human species.
Maybe I rambled too much, I hope it makes sense...

I think it is human future. A human beings genetics may be unusually different from all other humans. This could start a new generation of humans. Genetics are pretty much random (as in how old you get) and the same is with this. The chances are very low. What type of change of mankind? That I cannot answer.

Give the person a lot of medication for problems they don't have, feed them bad information by means of media, and give them a sense of fear of their well being(terrorists, God, bankruptcy). That's how you change the nature of mankind, from intelligent beings to slaves of reality...prime example is the middle-class american family.

With genetic manipulation or intense, massive, planned breeding.
That's the only way to change the nature of mankind.

Lots of socialization for thousands of years. Just like other animal species can be domesticated, and thus, their nature has been changed

at any time in a life, a person stops and asks himself/herself "how would others react to this situation?" and "how would others fill about this? then do the exact opposite, one will begin to retrain his/her nature and hopefully reverse some of those horrid conditionnings.

Change his heart. I believe only God can do that. But the person has to take the first step- he has to be willing to change.

Change his environment. Very simple really. It is what we like to call "evolution". All living things adapt to enviroment or die.
