I am applying for a private school that requires me to live on campus, transferring away from people that I've known and loved for 9 years. I'm applying because this school offers a lot of great opportunities, not because i'm running away from anything. Also, the chances that i get accepted into thihs school are VERY slim. One, very trusted friend knows. Should I tell the others before i get accepted or rejected?

Hmmmm.......I'd say, tell your close friends that you've applied for it, and if you get accepted tell your other friends, but if you get rejected, don't bother.

LOL. if one friend already knows, the rest will know in less than a week.
A wise man said, "the best kept secret between two people is, if one of them is dead".
Tis very true....

If you are close to your friends, I think it's something that you should share with them. If you do get accepted, it will be easier for them to deal with if they already know about it. If you don't get accepted, they will be there for you too.

its probably better to tell them, if you do get accepted then you'll have to worry about telling them that you applied to a school without them knowing and then that you're moving there.if you get rejected then you don't have to worry.

Sure. The question you should be asking is what is wrong with my other friends that I can't openly speak about this!!!

I think you should or they may start wondering if you moved or something or you hated them.
